  • "The info in the listing regarding local amenities needs updating, for example the pub and restaurant in Maiden Newton are closed, the pub is a cafe, only open some times, and the pub in Cattistock closes this weekend."

  • "Hi As a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children), this cottage was fine."

We were out all day to visit. Good location to go to the coast and any other sites. Only downside is that the fridge is too small.

  • "We have stayed in this property before it became a holiday let, so we knew what to expect."

The new bathroom is a welcome improvement, however we still feel that you have overpriced it taking into account its rather cramped nature, particularly the bedrooms. We also find Friday-Friday bookings extremely inconvenient - we assume this is to fit in with your cleaners avoiding weekends (we did find the cottage to be excellently clean and tidy).

  • "We wanted to take 3 bicycles with us and requested if there was room outside for them."

Owners were okay with that, thank you. There are steps up to the kitchen but we were able to lift the bikes up and take them through to the courtyard outside. Great location to travel to various places and useful having a dishwasher and washing machine.

  • "A really nice and very well equipped cottage in a great location for touring around Dorset."

  • "Fleur Cottage is situated in a lovely location, perfect for exploring Dorset and the surrounding areas in Dorchester."

The cottage itself, however, was disappointing. Upon arrival the first thing we noticed was that the floor, in particular near the fireplace, had not been cleaned properly. The shelves in the food cupboards were full of crumbs and above the food cupboard and on the bunting there were an awful lot of cobwebs. The garden was a huge disappointment. The furniture and floor was filthy. It would be so easy to jet wash the patio and furniture. The double bed comprised of a duvet (the cheapest you can possibly buy) and mattress was incredibly hard. It is such a shame as this cottage has so much potential but sadly is lacking in the TLC it so desperately needs.

  • "The cottage is in a good location as a base for exploring Dorset."

However, considering the landlords have been given an extra two hours for cleaning it wasn't particularly well cleaned on arrival. The bedroom is very small and cramped and we found the bathroom being on the ground floor next to the kitchen inconvenient when the bedroom is upstairs.
