The property

Fleur Cottage is the perfect retreat for family or friends who wish to enjoy a peaceful break in delightful Dorset.

Located in the rural village of Maiden Newton, and benefiting from being in close reach of the coast too, this quaint cottage is a real home away from home to enjoy some quality time with loved ones.

Enter through the front door and into the living/dining room to be welcomed in by the warming woodburning stove sat in the stone inglenook boasting cottage charm and adding a traditional feel to this enticing abode, ideal for snuggling up next to and planning your days ahead whilst unwinding on the sofa.

At the dining table, tuck into a home-cooked meal rustled up in the well-equipped kitchen, with plenty of space for the chef of the group to make the most of, or relax in the courtyard garden with an evening glass of wine and a good book.

Climbing the stairs, you will find the two beautiful bedrooms, made up of a double and a twin with two 2'6" single beds, offering a wonderful layout for a family of four.

In keeping with the cottage feel, both bedrooms have a traditional stone feature wall and have a light and airy feel to ensure a snug spot to retreat to each evening.

Completing the first floor is a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC, a sparkling clean spot to prepare for your day in.

Fleur Cottage is situated on the edge of Maiden Newton, a village in the heart of West Dorset's 'Hardy Country' and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering a tranquil setting and an ideal base to explore the excellent local facilities including a good selection of shops, a pub and restaurant and the addition of fantastic transport links.

The Chalk & Cheese in the village and the nearby The Fox & Hounds offer excellent reasonably priced food and for fine dining try Le Petit Canard, while under ten miles away is Dorchester, a vibrant and popular town wit even more eateries to take your pick from as well as many attractions like museums, gardens and cinemas.

If you crave the open space of the coast, Weymouth is within eighteen miles and offers a traditional day at the seaside, the Georgian esplanade is lined with tourist shops, cafés and bars to enjoy, or visit Nothe Fort, the amusement arcades or the Sealife Center for a fun-family day out.
