The property

The Malthouse is a wonderful and unique property sitting right in the heart of the harbour area in Kellaway Court, Weymouth and is very popular.

Rated 4 star gold in it's 2019 Independent Assessment. Accessed via steps, the property is very well-furnished in a modern style.

Traditional and contemporary styles work together to create a warm and welcoming feeling for guests to enjoy and get that ‘coastal holiday’ feeling. Open plan living area with kitchen and dining area is a wonderful socialising area for whole family to enjoy, cook and chat over the day’s adventures and plan what to do the following day. Amazing sandy beach of Weymouth is only a 10-minute stroll away from the property and picturesque harbour is only a minute away.

Cross the town bridge and you will find an abundance of quirky shops, coffee houses and up-market restaurants and pubs.

You may wish to spend the day crabbing along the harbour and watch the yachts and fishing boats come and go out of the marina. The Nothe Fort and Gardens are just a short walk away with a perfect place for a picnic or BBQ.

You may wish to try some delicious meals at Stone Pier Café in summer months. You may wish to venture further afield and explore gorgeous Jurassic coast with stunning cliffs and secluded beaches.

Take a drive to East and you will find Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Purbecks, venture West and West Bay with stunning cliffs and fossil beaches in Charmouth and Lyme Regis will give you a wonderful day out. The Isle of Portland with rugged landscape and coastal path around the isle would make a nice exploration day out too with unique wildlife to spot. The Malthouse is a wonderful holiday home perfect for groups or families enjoying a bit of a bustle of the town during the day, but still enjoying the quietness at night.

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
