Rooks Bridge is a pretty Somerset village, located on the quieter end of the county, it’s a lovely place to spend a relaxing weekend with loved ones.

The entrance of the property will lead you into the open-plan living space, with the living area at the front followed round the corner to the dining area and kitchen, is a spacious room that allows you to unwind on the sofa as your dinner cooks on the stove nearby, perfect for date night at this romantic retreat.

The living area of the room features an impressive feature wall made of stone, tying in with the geological aura of the county, it makes a beautiful backdrop for an evening of pampering and relaxation as you watch the sun set over the countryside hills with a glass of wine.

Upstairs will lead you to the bedroom, fit with king-size bed against a bold brickwork wall, it’s a rustic room which is guaranteed to give you a peaceful night’s sleep, with a large wet room attached, it’s a great property to unwind in the hills of Somerset and relax in the evenings in this pleasant property.

On the border of the river Mark Yeo, this property is the perfect base for avid walkers, whether it’s simply to the local pub of the Wellington Arms, or further afield in the Mendip Hills, there is a lot to explore both in relation to nature and history.

Head into the area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and reward yourself with a cold beverage on the edge of the nature reserve, or take a trip to Cheddar, where you can find a gorge canyon with accompanying caves, a marvellous reservoir, and of course, lots of cheese.

Rooks Bridge is a quaint little village, found in the town of Axbridge in Somerset. Located in close proximity to the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty, rumoured to have historically been dominated by the Romans where they mined lead, it's a fabulous location for avid walkers or those looking to explore the plentiful nature of Somerset. Be sure to take a trip to Cheddar if it's nature you're after, with plentiful nature reserves and its limestone gorge, with Britain's oldest complete human skeleton, it offers in terms of history and excitement for those of all ages. Although the village is quiet and quaint, with The Wellington Arms being the only local pub, that's not to say that it doesn't have a lot to offer. With the coast of Berrow just a short trip away offering a historic pillbox to explore, a golf club, a marvellous coast to sun soak amongst, you're in for an action-packed holiday when visiting the village of Rooks Bridge.
