“Great place for a group”Traveled to Somerset with my mother, aunt and a close friend to explore Bath, Wells, Glastonbury. The Farmhouse Lodge was perfect for our needs. Very spacious and well equipped. It was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed our stay and will return if possible. The only thing I would recommend is a chair or bench outside in the front.Traveled to Somerset with my mother, aunt and a close friend to explore Bath, Wells, Glastonbury. About the location
Evercreech 1 mile; Castle Cary 4 miles; Shepton Mallet 4 miles.
A small Somerset hamlet of cottages, farms and a 16th century inn, situated half way between Castle Cary and Shepton Mallet, south of the Mendip Hills. Evercreech village, just a mile away, is well served by local shops, but is probably best known for its connection with the old Somerset and Dorset Railway which used to pass through the village, however, steam railway enthusiasts will enjoy a nostalgic train ride on the nearby East Somerset Railway whilst the famous Bath and West Showground, offering a great variety of regular events, is only just over a mile away. Alternatively, take a day out visiting the mystic town of Glastonbury, lovely Wells and its beautiful cathedral, or even the shopaholic’s paradise at Clarks Shopping Village in Street, all a short drive away. You really are spoilt for choice at this super Somerset holiday destination.
