We only live 30 minutes away but it felt like a proper escape. Owners were very helpful and we managed to switch off. Great for couples like us. For families there are lots of things to do within 30 minutes drive

  • "This lodge is very comfortable and clean."

For us it is an ideal location. Very quiet peaceful and relaxing. Plenty of beautiful picturesque walks from the property. It was great to find a holiday let where we were completely alone. The hot tub was wonderful and water temperature at 38degrees was plenty hot enough. A bit difficult to get cover off and on but still had a lovely stay.

We would like to point out that you can see from the photos, plus the property description that the lodge is not suitable for a disabled person, the shower is a standard size but if you are disabled I can see that it could be a problem. Flies, theres not alot you can do about that, its summer and you get flies in the countryside and it is a particular problem this year, but we will provide fly spray as this problem has now been pointed out. With regard to toilet rolls, we do provide them, unfortunately it was an oversight on our part, but as soon as Mrs Gore asked for some they were provided straight away plus most of our guests bring their own.(we have now changed our policy so that guests are informed to bring their own, to limit contact between us and our guests) Finally, welcome packs, we have always provided welcome packs to our guests in the past, but now with the worry of Covid-19 we do not put anything apart from the necessary items in the Lodge. everything there you could need, lovely countryside views, so peaceful, and just great! Peter & Julie met us when we arrived early and were very welcoming. Many thanks also for the eggs and milk too. We went out and about exploring Dorset, such a lovely county for that. So many pheasants everywhere, and also saw a young deer at dusk one evening! The binoculars were very useful.

  • "The lodge was very isolated which was not reflected in your literature."

There was only 3 wine glasses for 4 adults and a shortage of cutlery

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry that you had issues during your stay. We feel the photographs on the advert accurately show the properties location. There was a breakage in the property which a guest had replaced a wine glass which does not fit with the other glasses, so this is kept on the shelf below. There is also 6 sets of cutlery in the property. If you had any problems with your stay we are available to rectify any issues. Property Owner
