A 7 minute drive takes you to the village of Sixpenny Handley which has a good selection of shops and pubs to visit.
This area is close to the New Forest National Park, which is famous for the wild ponies.
For a good day out, take a visit to Larmer Tree Festival, a music and arts festival set in beautiful Victorian gardens in the heart of the Cranborne Chase or take a trip to the world famous Great Dorset Steam Fair only 8 miles away.
