The grounds that the cottages are located in are well laid out, with ample off road parking and a shared lawned garden with private patio areas for each property. There is also a games room and play area, shared between the entire complex, where you can enjoy games of table tennis, table football and darts, or venture outside to play croquet, or one of the many other games available. To the north of the village lies Cranborne Chase, an area of outstanding natural beauty, where you can find Larmer Tree Gardens, a wonderful collection of ornate buildings and secluded arbours. Set on the banks of the River Stour, the Georgian town of Blandford Forum is well worth a visit. There's a market here twice a week, and lots of boutiques, antique shops, galleries and restaurants to enjoy. Also within the town, the Cavalcade of Costume museum is well worth a visit, or you can take a tour around the local brewery, a must for real ale fanatics, while the Royal Signals Museum at nearby Blandford Army Camp provides a fascinating insight into the world of espionage!
