The open-plan kitchen and diner creates a perfect social hub; this vast room contains all the essential appliances and more, catering to your culinary needs, while a huge farm-style dining table can seat everyone for a family meal.

All of these features can be taken advantage of while enjoying the gorgeous views out from the large glass bi-folding doors overlooking the garden, perfect for the summer months, and why not savour a moment of relaxation in the hot tub?

The woodburning stove in the sitting room adds character and can keep you warm alongside the underfloor heating, and there are three large sofas where you can unwind into your evening.

A games room is great way to add some fun to your holiday; a table football championship could make things interesting!

A twin bedroom lies on the ground floor, while the other five bedrooms are upstairs, comprising of a king-size, three doubles and a twin.

The master king-size is an enormous room, complete with a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom, with all of the rooms thoughtfully laid out and decorated.

Whether your bedroom of choice is at the front or back of the property, you will be able to take advantage of the lovely views of the surrounding hills and countryside.

The village is 12 miles south of historic Sherborne and 12 miles north of Thomas Hardy's Dorchester. Locally there are lovely scenic walks to be had, while a visit to nearby ancient Cerne Abbas is not to be missed, with its instantly recognisable chalk giant and numerous tea rooms and inns serving real ales and good food.
