  • "The house is so warm and comfortable with high quality furnishings perfect for a stay in winter."

It is only a short walk from the Clarks shopping village and places to eat. We did enjoy the Bear Inn for meals in Street. Also only a short drive to Wells and Glastonbury. This is our second stay at Joyance and we like it so much we have already booked again for early next year.

  • "Great property and location Joyance lived up to the reviews and pictures."

Lovely to arrive to a pint of milk, tea and coffee. Plenty of space and is great for families or even two couples. The mattresses are the most comfortable that we have ever slept on. There is parking for one car immediately outside the front door on the pavement. Although there are spaces to park opposite you might not get one right outside the property, as it seems residents from different streets seem to park there. But there are spaces further down, if a second car was taken. There are plenty of places to eat, catering for all types of food. We ate at the Bear Inn lovely traditional pub food. Joyance is a great base for exploring within easy driving distance to Wells, Glastonbury, Longleat and the seaside, if you so wish. We visited some National Trust places this week that were all within a half hour drive such as Lyte Cary Manor. Plenty of shops in Street as well as the Clarks Village. Joyance had loads of wardrobe space and was a very spacious property and tastefully furnished. The only thing I would recommend to add is maybe some tall boy chest of drawers in the wardrobes. Cushions for the chairs for the outside dining table, as they are quite low. Although the fan in the living room was an added bonus in hot weather, maybe a couple for upstairs and flat sheets, as duvets were too hot. Overall the area was quiet and we really enjoyed our stay there and would stay again if we ever revisited Street. Top class property.

  • "Beautiful property in a very quiet location."

Photos dont do it justice as much more spacious than it seems. Excellent facilities and plenty wardrobe space. Just a short walk into town and Clarks Village. Great selection of restaurants and take aways. Within easy drive of Longleat, Bath and Wells. Even took a day trip down to Eden Project and Portsmouth Gunwarf Quays which were both well worth the trip. Have no hesitation in recommending this property and will most definitely return again sometime.

The house was very warm and cosy inside even when it was freezing outside. Only a five minute walk from the Clarks Shopping village and a short drive to Glastonbury and Wells. It is also only a short walk to restaurants and cafes in Street. The nicest holiday home we have stayed in and hope to return again.

  • "We had a wonderful stay in this excellently well maintained property."

There is plenty of space in this property to fit a family of 5, or 2 couples. There was plenty of hot water and the kitchen and bedrooms were all furnished very well. It was lovely to stay somewhere with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The property overlooks a green and we sat many an evening on the master bedroom balcony catching the evening sun. This is a very quiet location despite there being other properties around. We never had problems parking as the property has a space immediately outside the front door and there is space for a second car opposite. This is a great location to visit Glastonbury (you could cycle or walk it), Wells, Cheddar Gorge, Somerset Levels and various National Trust properties. You can walk if you want to in minutes to a large Sainsbury's and Lidl or in the other direction into Street to the Clarkes Village or to the local shops and restaurants or take aways. We have high standards and we were not disappointed in this property. Enjoy

The main town centre of Street is just a couple of minutes walk away and has a shopping outlet, lots of restaurants, local bakers etc. Supermarkets are 2 minutes drive away too. The beds were very comfy and bedding high quality. The twin room appears to be a 'zip and link' bed so it would have been nice to have the option to make that room into a king sized bed instead of the twins. The house is very modern, has great wifi and a lovely garden. We hardly moved the car all week as there is good local transport connections (regular buses to Bristol, Wells and Glastonbury) so we decided to make use of these. The owner sent us a message checking everything was ok with our stay which was a nice touch. We would highly recommend this holiday home and hope to be back later in the year!
