This charming end-terrace cottage is set in the village of Preston, just one mile from the popular seaside resort of Weymouth with some fantastic amenities available from the door.

The cottage dates back to 1792 and provides a comfortable base for families or a group of friends who are looking to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday with a wealth of days out to choose from.

You enter the cottage down 6 steps onto the ground floor where you will find a cosy sitting room with tiled floors.

There is also a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and a more formal dining room to enjoy evening meals together.

The ground floor double bedroom is accessed via one step, while the further bedrooms are on the first floor.

These include a romantic four poster double and a twin room.

The ground floor bathroom has a bath, ideal for relaxing after a day walking one of the many footpaths which are available in the area.

Outside is an enclosed lawned garden with a decked terrace, a barbecue for enjoying alfresco dining and a summerhouse.

Within a short walk are a local shop and pub, and a very short drive away are all of the sights and sounds of Weymouth where delicious meals can be enjoyed in the restaurants and you can wander the charming streets and waterside.

There are also two RSPB nature reserves and the Sea Life Centre which is perfect for a rainy day.

There are fantastic views out across Weymouth Bay and from Chesil Beach and to take in the whole area, panoramic views can be found on Portland from the Olympic Rings.

While here, why not visit Portland Castle and the Tout Quarry Sculpture Park where a piece by Anthony Gormley can be found?

The surrounding area is full of stunning natural features including Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove and for a bit of history, the National Trust’s Corfe Castle is a fascinating ruin.

With all this and more within easy driving distance, Chapel Cottage is a fantastic choice with something for everyone on offer.
