The property

Nestled in the charming village of Puncknowle is this lovely dwelling for two, Little Burwell, which is a picture-perfect thatched cottage offering a romantic escape near to the coast, making an ideal place from which to enjoy the delights of Dorset.

Be welcomed into the snug sitting room where a feature fireplace brings character to this traditional dwelling, with armchairs to relax on after a day of scenic walks, and a Freeview TV to enjoy.

Discover the kitchen to the rear of the cottage, with a two-ring induction hob and electric oven, along with a fridge with a freezer box providing you the essentials for a self-catered stay, while a breakfast bar is the best place to sit at with your morning coffee, or perhaps a glass of wine whilst dinner simmers on the hob.

Freshen up in the en-suite shower room before getting cosy underneath the gorgeous linens of the bed and look forward to waking up each morning to watch the world go by from the characterful window seat.

After a long day of exploring be sure to conclude the day with a well-deserved pint in the local pub, The Crown Inn, a traditional and homely setting, which also boasts a wonderful menu of delicious pub grub.

For some wholesome Italian food, be sure to visit The Parlour Restaurant at Bredy Farm, situated in the heart of the picturesque Bride Valley.

Venture to Burton Bradstock, where you can choose to dine in the famous Hive Beach Café, a great opportunity to sample delicious seafood whilst overlooking the Hive Beach setting, or book a table at The Club House, where spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed over a wonderful meal and a cocktail or two.

For picking up the essentials, venture to the nearby Modbury Farm Shop on the way to Burton Bradstock and Tamarisk Farm in West Bexington, you are sure to find everything that you will need.

For things to do whilst staying at Little Burwell, you would head further along the coastline to the Fleet Lagoon home to Abbotsbury Swannery, one of Dorset's most popular attractions or relish in of time exploring the 18th century Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens with rare plants before refuelling at the on-site restaurant.

Dorchester 12.2 miles; Weymouth 13.5 miles.

Puncknowle is a charming village of stone cottages surrounded by the beautiful Bride Valley on one side and a down land ridge that shelters the village from the sea on the other. Pronounced ‘Punnle’ this is a great location for exploring the Jurassic Coast and surrounding countryside. You can enjoy beach walks with spectacular views along the famous Chesil Beach, Hive Beach and Cogden Beach. The Market town of Bridport is only 5 miles away where you can find all the amenities you need including many independent cafes and restaurants. Abbotsbury is under 5 miles away and has much to offer, from Tropical gardens to the Swannery bird reserve. If that wasn’t enough the village is chocolate box pretty and filled with local artists and craftsmen who have their own shops to explore. St Catherine’s chapel sits above the village and can be seen for miles along the coast line, enjoy the walk from the village to the Chapel and enjoy the reciprocal views
