  • "We had a lovely weeks stay at Blenheim Lodge."

Couldn't have asked for a better setting . The lodge was very comfortable and tastefully furnished, the only thing I would ask is if maybe the shower head in main bathroom could be replaced. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the fishing and what a surprise to see the deers wandering past our lodge. The two families of geese were adorable . ( just remember your wellies) Having only 4lodges on the site makes it a more friendly and relaxing holiday. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

  • "Lovely cottage and good aprons apart from the hot water is very hot and miss, sometimes hot and on a few occasions even after running hot tap for 5 min water never got above lukewarm."

Also cleaning wasn’t to the highest standard we found multiple cobwebs even at love levels like the kitchen knife sett on counter and the washer dryer hadn’t been cleaned in what looked like months We had to scrub it to get clean and run a cleaner through to ensure it was clean before putting cloths into wash

  • "Very enjoyable holiday."

I broke my ankle and this place was very handy as on the flat. Only 4/5 stairs on entry which I could get up on my crutches. My husband really enjoyed the fishing lake. He has not fished for over 60 years but had another go with our grandson and son-in law. The only problem was we thought there was a DVD player but there was not. It was a lovely holiday nonetheless.

Downside is the very expensive taxis [ubor-non existant} and although bus stops at end of the road the buses are unreliable including the first bus tracking app. full quart and the plough inn both reasonably priced and good food. thanks to the owners for an enjoyable stay.

It was lovely and clean and we were very lucky with the weather too.

  • "We had a very enjoyable week at the lodge."

It is well positioned for visits to a number of beaches and proved very comfortable. The WiFi (a modern need!) was good throughout the week. An unexpected bonus was the presence of the two geese who live in the fishing lake and who visit each lodge regularly with apparent requests to be fed. They made us laugh a lot and we couldn’t help but like them. Thank you for this opportunity.

Thank you for your feedback. The comments we had were very out of character for the property as our feedback scores are always 100% for cleanliness. The properties are cleaned to a high standard following the Covid 19 guidelines on Sykes website. Thank you for raising this with us. We hope to welcome you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "This was our second visit to New Farm Orchard lodges."

They are still comfortable, quiet (apart form the geese) pleasant lodges. Our lodge wasn't as clean as last time and we had a few issues. Despite saying 4 black bags will be provide one one is. The owners have said "We will take note of all your comments to ensure these problems do not happen again should you decide to visit us once more" Still a good holiday and convenient place for us to meet with family and we would return.

  • "The two resident geese can be a bit scary when they come up close to you, might upset children if they wish to play outside, and you have to watch where you are walking due to their droppings."

The lodge is clean, comfortable and warm with all the mod cons expected in a self catering place and they all worked well. The safe we found in one of the wardrobes, we were unable to use, as it was locked and is the only item that there are no instructions for in the folder provided. It is on a flight path, so we were often woken up around 6 am with the noise from the planes and the geese honking. Some of the items of crockery were chipped, but as there were only two of us staying, we just used the ones that were OK. Larger bath towels would have been appreciated, but we always gripe about this, even some of the best hotels do not provide decent sized towels. Net curtains, or blinds at the bedroom windows would make an improvement. The lodges are quite close, so we kept the curtains closed in the bedroom to give us privacy from the neighbours, making the room dark. This sound like a lot of complaints, but we were happy with the accommodation and enjoyed our time there. Weather was good and we were able to sit out on the veranda most afternoons enjoying the sunshine while drinking our tea.

  • "The doublebed and the beds in one bedroom were smaller than announced and too small to sleep comfortanle."

The lodge is small, but it has lots of wardrobes and cubboards, a big table for the meals and enough comfortable places on the sofas. The bathrooms are nice and cosy. We stayed there for 2 weeks, the owner changed linen and towels in the middle of our stay - very friendly. Cuttlery could be more, drying rack was broken, protection at the windows to avoid incoming insects would be nice. The light of bulbs is very cold.
