“We had a fabulous time staying at Captain's House and felt that our holiday was enhanced by having such a super place to stay.”

As we've said .... exceptionally clean and very comfortable. We had only two slight problems but these are suggestions, not criticisms. The front door step was quite high and our 86 year old mother struggled with it. We arrived after 5pm and had to go straight out to the shops for milk and toilet roll. A small welcome pack would have been very welcome.

“The house was lovely, clean and really well equipped.”

Great location too. Worth mentioning also has a hairdryer and you supply washing up liquid and a bottle of cleaner so that people don't have to bring them. Would definitely stay again if came to that area.

Location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the harbourside and coastal path. Beds were very comfy and had all the amenities which you would expect. Very nice place to stay, parking for 2 cars and great location

“As we stayed for 2 weeks we really could have done with a mid holiday clean and more than one towel a week each .”

I understand with covid 19 it is difficult for a cleaner to enter but a time could have been arranged and we could have gone out !!! We kept the house tidy but not great to have to do housework when you are on your holiday . Apart from this everything was excellent.

BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
