  • “Very happy with the spacious and well maintained property.”

Our only gripes were the WiFi which was sporadic and the TV signal affected by rain.

The property

Cherry Blossom House is, about five minutes' walk from the Brewers Quay, the harbour and Newton's Cove – the perfect place for a holiday in Weymouth.

Finished to a high standard and with a modern clean look it’s been accented with seaside blues.

When the night draws in, two comfortable and cosy bedrooms up on the first floor will leave you spoilt for choice. Relax in the evening at home, snuggle on the sofa and watch a movie.

Spend the afternoon in the garden playing with children in the sunshine and then move to the heated conservatory to finish off the day with a glass of wine and a good book. Nearby is Newton's Cove is a favourite place for rock pooling adventures.

Take a short level walk of about eight minutes to pretty old harbour, don’t forget to check out the Tudor House and then over the town bridge and in to the town centre, with a variety of high street names and individual quirky shops.

Adjacent to the high street is the main long and sandy beach with shallow waters.

Here children can indulge in favourite seaside entertainments; donkey rides and Punch and Judy shows. Eating out in Weymouth is increasingly exciting.

As well as award winning fish and chip shops in the region, you will find cuisines from around the world.

The harbourside restaurants serve freshly caught local fish and seafood including hand dived scallops and line caught mackerel. You can explore more of this beautiful part of Dorset, a drive along the world heritage Jurassic coastline affords stunning views and scenery, stop along the way at pretty villages such as Burton Bradstock and Abbotsbury to enjoy the hospitality of a local pub or cream tea.

About the location

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
