The only drawback was the fact that car parking was at a real premium and the neighbourhood rather noisy, our car alarm went off late at night when we were in bed as some louts were hanging around. So, despite the fact that the accommodation was second to none, we would not stay there again. Such a shame!,

The property

Maycroft is a Victorian terraced house located just 5 minutes walk from Weymouth harbour.

With modern styling and open plan living area Maycroft has a sea themed colour pallet which is continued throughout the property, each room has been individually finished with care and attention.

The kitchen and dining room are ideal for preparing and enjoying meals with family and friends catching up on the days activities or planning them for the next day.

With a lovely patio and garden you might prefer to dine al-fresco in the sunshine or early evening sun.

Cosy up in the lounge warmed by the multi-fuel burning stove on cooler evenings.

Have a leisurely stroll along the harbourside watching as the flotilla of fishing boats and yachts glide past, you may catch a fishing craft unloading their catch of the day.

With its central location Maycroft is well placed for all your holiday needs; Newton's Cove beach, favored by locals and children alike, with its fascinating rock pools and secluded bay is just eight minutes away and adjacent is Nothe Gardens, a large park area interspersed with coastal paths, perfect for enjoying a picnic whilst taking in the stunning panoramic sea views.

A short walk from Maycroft and over the town bridge is the town center, with its array of high street shops and in the narrow lanes you will find lots of quirky local shops, all worth a browse.

On the edge of town is the award-winning main beach; a traditional sandy beach with shallow waters.

If the weather is not great Weymouth has indoor entertainment including a 10 screen cinema, ten pin bowling and soft play areas for the children.

With numerous choices of dining out ranging from traditional fish and chips on the Harbour side to sampling the best of the days' catch from our local waters or choose from cuisines spanning the world in one of the many local restaurants or pubs.
