  • "Interesting property."

An up as opposed to a flat. I've got a dodgy leg and never climbed up to the top bedroom. Great location if you can't walk far. Good to have the garage and the little yard. I've got a Vauxhall Meriva. The garage is okay for that but I wouldn't want anything much bigger. The downstairs shower is a bit cramped for a 6' 3" body but I managed.

  • "Midships has been perfect for us as a family with home to home facilities, the only thing that let it down was the court yard."

The ashtray was full and empty alcohol cans left outside, which wasnt appealing. It's not a place you would want to sit outside and enjoy. It could do with a revamp so it can be used.

  • "We had a lovely stay and there is everything that you could possibly want or need at Midships, the only issue we had was that the stairs were a struggle for our dog who has bad hips and we could not sit outside much as it was full of flies even though we washed the courtyard down there was still a smell where dogs urinate."

But other than that really lovely place and right in the centre of everything you could walk everywhere. Lovely stay.

  • "Absolutely loved staying at Midships, what a gorgeous homely place."

Really clean and well furnished with very comfortable furniture. Beautifully done up with great well-stocked Kitchen and layout (we’re architects and very much approved!) and lovely decor - bijou without being over the top, perfect. The location was very helpful with our little baby as we could easily get to the beach or wander through town. Thank you - hope to be back! This isn’t a criticism at all but a note to the owners who might not already be aware - there was very stormy weather when we were there and we noticed the driving rain caused a tiny trickle of brown (rusty?) water to drip thhrough from the frame and come down the wall from the (shut) roof light in the ensuite of the attic bedroom. In that same ensuite (lovely by the way, including the glass blocks), I also noticed a very very fine start of a hairline crack in the bath? Didn’t seem to cause any issues at all but just to keep an eye on in case you don’t stay there often yourselves.

  • "The location is excellent in the middle between the Harbour and Sea."

Love it and can’t wait to come back again in the future.

  • "Love Weymouth and second year staying at Midships."

.... Very clean and spacious and having a garage is a huge benefit. Central location is perfect for beach and harbour. It would be useful to advise the customers that due to its central location it is noisy at night (well into the early hours) and due to the steepness of the stairs leading up to the master bedroom it is not suitable for the elderly / anyone with mobility difficulties

  • "Beautiful cottage and well equipped."

It has everything you need. Location to harbour is perfect but unfortunately it’s very noisy. There is a bar at the end of the street which is open late and lots of noise coming from there when queuing to get in and then coming out early hours of morning.

  • "We rented this property last year and was very happy with the facilities overall, it is very well presented, we were very surprised to find this year how much the cleanliness of the property had deteriorated considering the amount of time between change over, please check under beds as filthy, rubbish behind cushions on settee, sand on settee, and food left in fridge."

A big let down for the owners who have a lovely property. sue, hugh jappy.

We are sorry you found cleaning issues, we have highlighted this with the housekeeping team and will ensure that it does not happen again. Please do contact us whilst on holiday if you have something not quite right. We look forward to welcoming you again to Midships. Dream Cottages Property Owner

  • "Very impressed with the accommodation and location of the property."

We booked to return next August..I would however advise that due to the central location it is noisy of an evening.

  • "Yes you need to put in a stair rail up to the attic, Also an electric shower up there."

Something needs to be done about the late night noise as it keeps people awake. Other wise a very nice house and we enjoyed our holiday. Thank you,

  • "Really good holiday at Midships."

Excellent being able to store car in garage - didn't use it all week. Really well equipped . The only negative was the noise from the night time economy Fri/Sat which was to be expected being so centrally located in the town. Dream cottages responded quickly to a breakage we had on holiday.
