  • “This is a wonderful house, refurbished so recently with great facilities.”

It's location is within walking distance of the brewery quarter, the harbour and a stones throw form the southwest path for dog walking. Parking is a real bonus (one at front and two at back) in this location.

The property

Superbly positioned in a popular residential area of Weymouth’s seaside resort in Dorset, lies Newtons Cove Retreat, a beautiful townhouse providing wonderful self-catering accommodation for a family or group of friends seeking a staycation on the spectacular Jurassic Coast.

Set across three floors, the property consists of four bedrooms and bright and airy living areas; the ground floor of the property is light and spacious with the open-plan kitchen/diner being the social hub of the home.

Here you can gather together and have all hands on deck whilst preparing home-cooked meals to be enjoyed at the dining table, the breakfast bar or even outside on the patio area complete with table and chairs.

The kitchen is extremely well-equipped with all the essentials and mod cons to make cooking for your party a breeze.

The separate sitting room is a great place to settle down for the evening and switch on the TV to catch up on your favourite TV shows or simply spend time with your loved ones planning the next day's adventures.

Moving through the property, the first floor boasts a king-size room with an en-suite shower room featuring underfloor heating, a walk-in shower, basin and WC, where you can freshen up between activities, and a twin room with two single beds for a flexible sleeping arrangement.

Climbing the stairs to the second floor you will find a further two bedrooms; one king-size, again with an en-suite shower room complete with underfloor heating, and another twin room ideal for adults and children alike.

Completing the interior of the property is a family bathroom, with a freestanding bath for those who enjoy a long soak, along with a walk-in shower, double sink and WC.

Enjoy your summer mornings with a cup of tea or coffee in the garden; the patio with furniture makes for a delightful space to unwind as the sun comes up promising another beautiful day by the sea.

There are many things to see and do right on the doorstep of Newtons Cove Retreat.

The stunning Newton’s Cove can be reached via a short stroll and offers wonderful views across the bay and over to Portland Harbour.

The Nothe Fort is a great family attraction and is made up of three levels, encompassing a museum of the fort’s history, café, gift shop, and excellent 360 degree views across the harbour along with the beautiful Nothe Gardens of the peninsula.

Why not take a wander into the town centre and while away the hours exploring the high street shops and small boutiques in search for that special keepsake to take back home, before treating yourself to a delicious ice cream from one of the many ice cream parlours, or maybe even fresh fish and chips from a beach kiosk.

For days out with the younger members of the group, visit Weymouth Sealife Adventure Park, home to the only colony of Fairy Penguins in the UK, while Splash Zone slightly further afield provides you with an action-packed way to cool off in the summer sun for all ages.

About the location

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
