  • "The entrance to the apartment is in need of painting and was damp smelling, the apartment had everything you would need clean and comfortable, the shower works from the hot/ cold taps ( but it works lol ) The multi-storey car Park is expensive so you need to add that payment to your holiday booking,I paid £80 for a week but at least it’s secure and security guarded ."

The apartment is within walking distance to all amenities. Janice

  • "A lovely apartment, big master bathroom."

Very quiet, apart from some atmospheric seagulls. Two balconies. Lovely welcome hamper with teas, coffees etc and even a pint of milk in the fridge. Travel cot etc. Great location. Short walk to the beach. Tesco express and bars/cafes nearby. overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend.

  • "A fantastic 4th floor property."

Very clean and well equipped. Nice to have two sun-bathed balconies to choose from. Property is in a very good location, close to the harbour, beach and shops. It allowed us to have an excellent, stress free holiday.

  • "Very clean and comfortable apartment, nicely equipped."

Very central in town. A couple of items needed:- oven gloves and hairdryer. Access is difficult if impaired mobility due to stairs from street level to main door. (lift was working which was a risk we took!) We pre-booked at Britannia Parking the Multistorey carpark just across the road on line, as parking is difficult locally without a valid permit, which was not provided for our dates.

  • "A very comfortable and well-equipped apartment in an excellent location in the town."

Parking is close by, exploring Dorset is easy from the location and there are a good number of bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. When we stayed, the block was very quiet and we were totally undisturbed. The kitchen is well-equipped and the bed very comfortable.

  • "We have just returned from a short break at this lovely apartment."

It looks good in the photos, but they do not do it justice, and it felt a lot bigger than it looked in the photos. Beautifully furnished and decorated with quality furniture and furnishing, and some lovely artwork. The kitchen is well appointed and equipped, not that we used it much!!. It was lovely having two balconies looking over the harbour on slightly different angles, so we could follow the sun. Lovely sat there in the evening with a drink, and first thing in the morning with our first coffee. Nice to have two comfortable chairs in the bedroom to also enjoy the views when it got a bit chiller. Great position being between the harbour and beach and town so not far to walk to either. Tesco supermarket within two minute walk, and a larger Asda about 15 mins walk. Would highly recommend, and will be definitely be returning, hopefully later this year. One small thing that would have made our stay more enjoyable would have been a spare set of keys, as the lock is not the "latch" type if one stayed in and one went out, you had to leave the flat door unlocked, in case of emergencies. Overall a fantastic place to stay - we will return. Thank you.

  • "Lovely modern apartment, situated close to shops the marina and beach."

It is clean and comfortable and has all the amenities you could want to stay there. The only downside is parking, although permits are provided there are not an abundance of bays you can use that are close, found the Pavilion car park the best option. Would have liked a mention where the trash bins are located, the room they are situated in does not have a sign to that effect.

  • "The Sail Boat was clean and well equipped however even on cooler days, the apartment was consistently showing 28-30 degrees which is far too hot to sleep, I would recommend installing air con."

The parking permit system was also misleading. The permit contained a large list of streets which the permit covers parking on but when we tried them, only one of them actually had parking spaces on them. So if you didn’t find a space on that one street then you had to do the walk to the larger town car parks. Although the 15 minute walk isn’t huge, it isn’t what you want after a long day out/when it is raining/you’ve been driving around for ages trying to find the other streets your permit applies to.

  • "Loved our stay here, the flat was wonderful and very well equipped."

Great views of the harbour and sunset in the afternoon and evenings, we loved sitting on the balcony having a drink. Only small thing is another key would be useful as if one of us wanted to pop out we had to either lock the other in (fire hazard) or leave the door unlocked which was a bit of a pain as I didn’t feel comfortable getting showered/changed etc with the door unlocked.

  • "This apartment is on the 4th floor which is OK if the lift is working - unfortunately it has not worked since April and not expected to be fixed at an unspecified date in July."

There are 56 steps to climb and the lack of a lift should be pointed out when booking or as soon as known by the apartment owners and clients should then been given the option to cancel if they cannot climb 56 steps due to age or disability. I am 75 with health conditions and to make two journeys up 56 steps carrying a suitcases weighing over 15 kilos each was not what I agreed to when making the booking.

  • "I would recommend that future occupants are given more advice re the key safe."

Simply providing the PIN is not adequate - you have move a lever up and then press etc after putting PIN in which is not obvious to people who have not used key safes before. We arrived late and having difficulty getting into the building was very frustrating. We were advised that the lifts were not working in advance and whilst we coped, future older clients would really struggle as although it is only a four story building there are multiple sets of stairs and fire doors to negotiate and when unloading this is down to one person (other has to stay with vehicle in unloading bay) and is quite a burden. After the difficulties with gaining entry and getting our luggage to the apartment, the apartment itself was very pretty, light, well decorated and clean/uncluttered. Re cleanliness, the balcony off the living room was not clean with rubbish underneath dirty chairs (bedroom balcony was clean). The parking permit is essential, without it we would never consider Weymouth again, and we were very lucky in that we found a spot just around the corner (thank goodness due to time of night). Some constructive feedback re the actual apartment - hardly any TV channels to watch unless you are a Netflix etc subscriber with multiple passwords (we are not!), would advise owners to set up FreeView at least so that occupants have a reasonable set of channels to access. Re flat ambient temperature, as no air con, the flat is literally boiling if the sun comes out due to sky lights and top floor position and so would recommend that the owners provide a tower fan (inexpensive from e.g. CostCo) so that some respite can be provided to guests. The bathroom glass shower divider has no seal, it simply is not there which leads to the floor being flooded after each shower (as per previous reviews). The latter can be easily rectified and I am surprised that the owners would want to risk long term damage to their floor and, potentially, to downstairs residents ceilings should this issue persist. Additional bath matt should be provided vs just 1 especially with the before mentioned issue. Shower itself very simple/cheap and would not be expensive to replace (as per previous review almost like a hose vs shower). No shelving in bathroom is also an issue - where do you put toothbrushes etc? The bathroom has potential to be fab with just some minor tweaks. Re mirror in hall and bedroom, no plug sockets anywhere near so not great for people wanting to dry hair. I would also suggest that the front door has an additional lock/lever added internally as having to put the keys in all the time is not the best for security. Comfort and facilities rating above mainly impacted by leaking shower/heat of apartment and lifts not working. All in all we had a really nice stay and would return (would prefer not to have to bring own fan etc) hopefully with lifts working next time... Weymouth is fab and location of apartment convenient for shops/restaurants etc...Also, a small thing, if I were the owners, I would leave an inexpensive bottle of wine to welcome guests - no big deal cost-wise but gives great first impression (friends who have been greeted with such never fail to be impressed)... Hope this feed-back helps.

Thank you for your feedback. We have improved the arrival information. The owner will be purchasing a fan. Improvements to the bathroom have been made and it will be upgraded in the Autumn. Property Owner

  • "Simple errors the bathroom was not cleaned very well, 1."

The shower head is like a hose pipe, simple to improve / replace with a better shower head. 2. no shelving in the bathroom to put toiletries which the room had plenty of space for? 3.Sink plug had been replaced with a cheap rubber plug, 4. No seal on bottom of shower screen, every time we had a shower water would go all over the floor, looks like the rubber seal had been removed 5. no instructions for cooker 6. one of the hinges on the kitchen cabinet kept coming loose ( near the cooker) On a positive the bedroom, lounge and kitchin were very comfortable and clean the bed was lovely. the car park permits are great and helpful, great place as you are close to everything, the views are not outstanding as it overlooks a post office and car park. would i stay again the answer would be yes, as it is a great central place to explore from, if the owner just picked up the bathroom issues it would improve things greatly, regards Darren

Thank you for your feedback. The bathroom has been improved and will be updated in the Autumn. Property Owner
