The property

Sailor’s Abode is a beautifully presented holiday home resting on the doorstep of Weymouth’s majestic old harbour and just a stone’s throw away from the stunning Newton’s Cove and surrounding serene Nothe Gardens.

This superb, characterful cottage is ideal for a family or group of friends looking for a seaside haven with amenities on the doorstep.

Stepping inside the property, be welcomed into the living/dining room where you can settle down and plan your holiday itinerary, before carrying on conversations at the dining table and enjoying a tasty home cooked meal, prepared by the head chef of your party in the well-equipped kitchen.

Climbing the stairs to the first floor, you will find a double bedroom, a bunk bedroom housing two sets of bunk beds and a family bathroom with bath, overhead shower, basin and WC.

Heading up to the second floor, you will discover a further double bedroom complete with an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower, basin, and WC.

The courtyard garden is the perfect spot to sit with your morning cup of tea or coffee whilst soaking in the early morning sun and from here the spiral staircase leads you to a fabulous terrace area where sun loungers await you inviting you to spend a relaxing afternoon.

Venturing outside, the attractive harbour leads you over the iconic drawbridge where you can watch the comings and goings of tall ships, yachts and boats passing below, before heading to the beautiful golden beach and enjoying a delicious Dorset ice cream with the sand between your toes and, in the summer months, even taking a refreshing dip in the clear shallow waters.

The charming esplanade is lined with bars and restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat on the go or sit down and enjoy a gourmet evening meal, as the twinkling lights of the promenade light up the bay.

There are plenty of things to keep the children entertained, from donkey rides, Punch and Judy shows, amusement arcades and fairground rides.

Bovington Tank Museum is around 15 miles away and provides a fun-filled day out with history being brought to life with the world’s best collection of tanks and explosive live displays, where you can come face-to-face with over 300 huge military machines, hear about amazing experiences, and take part in interactive games and exhibits.

However, you choose to spend your days whilst holidaying on the spectacular Jurassic Coast, Sailor’s Abode is a wonderful home away from home in which to enjoy a truly memorable getaway with your loved ones.
