"Not the 1st time we have stayed at Sailors."
It's situation is ideal for town, harbour and shops. Lovely views of the inner harbour .
-
"Needs a washing line."
Maybe secondary glazing in main bedroom for the noise of the bridge opening. Apart from that it was an excellent property.

"Sailor’s watch, absolutely fabulous."
So much so,that on our 3rd day of being there we booked up for next year. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was really clean. We couldn’t believe how big it was inside. We loved the gardens. The view was absolutely gorgeous daytime and night. My granddaughter was so excited every day to see the bridge open and close. It was so close to every thing, practically on your doorstep ! Complimentary tea/coffee/milk etc was a lovely touch as was the roses. My granddaughter appreciated the kids toys etc. We accidentally locked ourself out , but the owner was on site in no time at all. Taught us a valuable lesson to always leave spare set in key safe. The only things we found that would be useful in the property is a draining rack. As there’s not a lot of space to put washing up on. Also the top garden window ,one side has a pane of glass missing overlooking the courtyard below. Our granddaughter threw a ball out of this window for our dog and it worried me greatly as the dog could have jumped up trying to retrieve the ball, as could have our granddaughter. It just needs a piece of wood to cover it that side. But it hasn’t put us off staying again. We are already missing being there and cannot wait to return. Thank you to the owners for making our holiday extra nice by providing such a lovely homely place to stay.

"The sofas were very low, also the mattress in the back bedroom looked about 20 years old covered in stains!"
I would suggest that the artificial grass be changed at it smelt disgusting (dog pee). The building works in council car park next door was very annoying, 8am - 5pm constant drilling, it actually shook the house!! Apart from that we had a good stay in Weymouth.
I'm so very sorry to hear your feedback. Sadly the council work next door sprung up and we were not aware of it happening until January. But, you should have been informed prior to your arrival. The mattress is being replaced and the artificial grass will be professionally washed and cleaned. It usually is washed in between guests so not sure why it smelt so bad during your stay. I can only but apologise that you've had such a bad experience at Sailor's Watch and hope you can see from all our previous feedback, our guests are usually pretty happy with their holidays here with numerous repeat visitors. Best wishes The Owner Property Owner

"Hi sailors watch is absolutely amazing everything that you need for your stay is there available to you the views are amazing !"
! Perfect location the only thing I would say is the artificial grass in front of conservatory smells of dog urine which was probably made worse by the beautiful warm we had during our stay
-
"Very well equipped and cosy cottage."
Perfect for a family of six. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to return some time in the future.

"Absolutely beautiful property in a superb location."
Weekends can be a bit noisy but this doesn’t bother us. Lots to do and see but even if you want to relax in the property everything is on hand. Will definitely return.
-
"Absolutely fabulous place to stay, well equipped kitchen, everything you need, deceptively large property, and a brilliant view over the harbour."
Would def book again.

"Sailor's Watch was a lovely place to stay for a week in February, especially as we were blessed with amazing sunny weather."
The property was, as others have said, really well equipped and very spacious. No problem with feeling cooped up indoors had the weather not been so kind. But, and yes, there are two buts - first impression was most dispiriting. It's a drab passageway leading up to Sailor's Watch itself. At first we feared our accommodation was the roofless wreck that we faced as we came up the passage! Once we'd accepted that it led to a spotless home, airy and light, we were fine, but it was off-putting initially. The second but was to do with noise. We must confess that we aren't used to noise at night but on the Saturday night cars were still roaring up and down outside at 4 am. I know because they were keeping me awake! I learned subsequently that there is a nightclub nearby that doesn't close till 5 am. However, once the weekend was over all was quiet. So if you're sleeping (or hoping to sleep) in the front bedroom, hang on in there; it does get much better. Really worth considering for a break in Weymouth. Convenient and with excellent views as well as perfect for strolling into town.

"We stayed 4th-10th November 2022."
Enjoyed the fireworks display on the beach. You need to sort the TV controller out downstairs. Otherwise, must have liked the digs as I've already booked the same week for 2023! Pete

"An excellent holiday property to stay in."
Perfect location for every need. Spacious and well equipped. Parking permit supplied which was very useful, although the space in front of the property is not a guarantee. We would be very happy to return.
-
"Brill place everything you needed the gardenmade it."
Close to town parking wasn't a problem for us, in the height of summer maybe. Would definitely go again.

"Entry at 4:00 pm, seems a bit late 2:00 pm seems a reasonable time."
Great location, lovely apartment

"Thank you for a lovely stay."
I would definitely recommend to others and would stay again. Couldn't of been happier was everything I wanted.

"A lovely well appointed flat, on the doorstep of everything you would want in Weymouth."
Comfy beds and lovely furniture, We really could not fault anything. Very happy and will, without doubt return.
-
"A brilliant flat in a fantastic location to explore Weymouth and the surrounds."
Hope to be back again in the future.

"We have been using Sykes/Dream cottages for many years, staying at various accommodations in Weymouth."
On this occasion we chose Sailors Watch. This is by far the best place we've stayed. It was the cleanist, largest, well equipped, and best location we've ever had. Sailors Watch is situated above another Sykes property. So after entering a communal door downstairs, you have to go up a set of steps to reach it. The large fully equipped kitchen diner greets you on entry, with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, along with milk in fridge. The living area overlooks the bridge and harbour, a lovely view. There are 2 bathrooms with welcome packs in each, including shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. 2 large bedrooms, and a bedroom with 2 single beds. Beds are very comfortable.Note to everyone staying, the heating control is on top of the fridge, which we only found after contacting the office. A strange place to put it! We had a wonderful stay at this property, and will hopefully book again for next year.

"The decor of the cottage was lovely and the location perfect."
We loved the cottage as it was contemporary but with some quirky features. The cottage was very well equipped - we all appreciated the welcome box with teas and tasty biscuits. It was very relaxing just to sit and watch the boats go by. Lots of cafes and restaurants in walking distance which was great. We were able to go on several walks, to the fort and to a castle, plus just walking around the lively harbour was enjoyable. My son loved the arcades near the beach, which was a 15 minute walk away. There are boat trips you can do close to the cottage. My son and I went on one and managed to see the resident dolphins William and Harry. It is a short walk over the bridge into Weymouth town centre which has all the shops you would need plus some independent shops. We could not have asked for more, except that we all wanted to stay longer.

"Beautiful property & a perfect base for exploring Weymouth & surrounding areas."
Ideal for walks to the beach & harbour. Kept updated by Sykes all the way and found lots of helpful information at the property. Would stay again and will be booking with Sykes again. Great service. Wonderful holiday.

"Second time at sailors watch great place to stay with your family very spacious have booked again for next year"
-
"Sailors Watch is perfect!"
A fabulous location right in the heart of Weymouth. The accommodation is clean, spacious & very comfortable. The kitchen is one of the best equipped SC kitchens I have ever stayed in!! A fantastic stay and would definitely recommend!
-
"Couple of snags for future guests would be door handles internally and built in sliding wardrobe doors"
-
"Great holiday location and fabulous place."
Only suggestion is that it would be useful to have contact details with the owner beforehand so we could warn them that we would not be arriving on the Friday rather than going through the (understandably busy at the moment) Sykes number.
-
"We had a lovely family holiday at Sailor s Watch."
It was located in an ideal area in Weymouth. We could walk to the restaurants in 5 minutes which was ideal. The cottage was spacious, well equipped and full of character. We would recommend this property if you want to visit Weymouth and have all the amenities on your door step.

"Enjoyed an amazing weeks stay in Sailor’s Watch."
Great views over the harbour, which we absolutely enjoyed watching the comings and goings of. Property stylishly decorated, comfortable and with all amenities catered for. Thanks Annie for letting us stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Great location for all local amenities, great local pubs and eateries, which we tried to visit most of them during our stay. .

"Everything about this holiday was perfect."
The website was easy to navigate, we had lots of choice and we managed to find a cottage that suited our needs perfectly. Sykes kept us updated about coronavirus risks without unduly worrying us which was ace. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean giving us every confidence in our choice. The cottage was also extremely well fitted out with everything we needed for a great weeks holiday. We found it to be very dog friendly with outside areas for him to run and lie in - he loved it too ! The parking permit was an added bonus, we managed to park outside the cottage every day (although it was just out of season) but there were also plenty of permitted areas within walking distance of the cottage. Due to coronavirus the owners are, understandably, advised not to visit tenants in person but they did contact us by text message to check if everything was ok which was very much appreciated, they seem very friendly are caring people. We have been on many cottage breaks in the UK and we both agreed this was the best we have ever stayed in. We would highly recommend this cottage and are looking to go back ourselves if we can.

"Beautiful cottage with excellent facilities."
A few nice touches, like toiletries and tea bags and even dog treats. Exceptionally clean through out. Can't wait to return.
-
"Fabulous holiday house great views great location we are returning next year k"
-
"Fantastic property, home from home, in a brilliant location within easy walking distance of facilities of Weymouth."
Very well equipped and spotlessly clean and cosy. Excellent uninterrupted views of the harbour. Quite happy to sit in the window watching the world go by and the town bridge opening to allow the boats to pass through. Although it was January still plenty to see and do in the area with shops, pubs and restaurants on the doorstep, many dog friendly. Despite being situated on quite a busy road into town didn't notice traffic noise and very quiet during the night too. Parking directly outside not a problem with the permit so that was a major bonus. Annie the owner went over and above to make our holiday as comfortable and stress free as possible. We hope to return next year. Just brilliant!! Andrea & Steve Chidgey & Angus

"Fantastic family holiday at Sailors Watch."
Welcome pack completely unexpected but very thoughtful ready for an important cup of tea after a tiring journey. Lovely views overlooking the marina and watching the rising of the bridge. Ideal location for amenities. There was nothing that was overlooked in welcome pack which also included the milk in the fridge. Everything was thought of including towels .
-
"Great location and we were able to park directly outside on most days."
On other occasions we were only a couple of minutes walk away. Tssteful, high quality decor. Quirky layout and much larger than expected. An ideal holiday base. Not the quietest location, but then you are in the midst of everything. The convenience and boat/people-watching over the harbour are the pay off. We would definitely return. Thank you.
