  • "Comfortable, clean and extremely well equipped holiday cottage in a attractive part of Weymouth close to some great restaurants and pubs (The Galley Bistro and The Nothe Tavern)."

Friendly and helpful owner who immediately addressed a small maintenance issue. Hope to return in 2022!

Such a great cottage and fantastic location. It was lovely to meet Malc and Dorrie on arrival too. We've booked our 2022 holiday already!!! Thanks again Cadell, Erika and Bella-Boo.

  • "On arrival at Seaholme Cottage we were greeted with a welcome card from the owners which was a lovely thought."

The cottage itself was brilliant and it has more than enough space for 4 adults and a dog. We never once felt on top of one another. It was homely, clean, tidy and really well equipped with everything you needed. The beds were surprisingly comfortable too! (my husband is like the princess and the pea when it comes to mattresses). The garden was a great little suntrap, perfect for a few drinks in the late summer sun and our dog Bella-Boo! The location is excellent as it is literally a stone’s throw from the quayside and Newtons Cove which is a great spot for rock pooling or watching the boats in Portland Harbour. Although a parking permit is provided for the Nothe Car Park we only had to park there twice during our 7 day stay as we were able to park right outside the cottage even though we used the car every day. This is a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it, we will definitely be returning! Thanks again! Erika, Cadell and Bella-Boo.

  • "Enjoyed our selves so much the first time came back for a second visit ."

The cove just a couple of minutes walk is great for dog walks, either along the beach or through the gardens above. Can recommend the Red Lion and it is the nearest pub as well. Only a short walk into town across the harbour. Oh and the cottage is very comfy didn't expect a dish washer.

Plus all the little extras were great, a tea towel and washing up sponge never been included before and the flowers, tea and milk just great.

  • "The cottage was well presented."

The wifi was excellent. Kitchen well equipped. The shower is really powerful. Stairs are narrow and you do need to be careful navigating them. It would have been really good to have some small table fans in the bedrooms. The attic was quite hot even with the velux windows open. The personal touches were a very lovely surprise and much appreciated. We were not sure which week it was for the collection of refuge but we put everything out and it was all taken. Thanks

About the location

BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
