Although we have stayed at the pines many times before when we arrived we had no hot water on Sunday we got up to have a shower only one out four staying there could have a shower we did report it and the manager at your office did come to the pines but the water started to get hot again but next day same again again no hot water a nother manager came out couldn't find out whywe couldn't get hot water so we wated all day for maintenance to come out to see what was wrong to find out the boiler had tripped also l think the garden needs some attention bet overgrown but overall had a really good hoilday

“The cooker is not the best, electric and very, very slow.”

The sink in the bathroom is very modern but not very practical and the water flow is very weak. On the plus side, the cottage was very tidy and comfortable, in a very quiet area and perfectly situated for our stay. We would certainly stay here again.

The pines is in a great location close enough to walk to town but far enough away to be peaceful. There is plenty of towels and bedding supplied and the kitchen is well stocked.

The property

This modern and well-equipped property located in the popular Maltings area in Weymouth, close to harbour and beach is a good base for a holiday. With the benefit of a large patio and garden area, it’s perfect for couples or families, even though make sure to supervise the toddlers in the garden. The views from the airy living area are beautiful and you can easily step outside directly to the garden to enjoy dinner outside and take in a bit of fresh air. All bedrooms have plenty of space for all garments you may wish to bring for a seaside holiday and the beds are just heaven. Beautiful Nothe Gardens and Fort, perfect for a picnic are only five minutes away from the property.

Take a walk along the harbour and you will be spoilt for choice with various places to eat.

You may wish to explore winding lanes with local craft and antiques, or visit Weymouth Museum or Tudor House. Cross the town bridge and a bit further you will reach glorious Weymouth sandy beach with perfect waters for swimming, making sand castles or just basking in the sun.

Georgian Promenade is perfect for a walk suitable for bikes and scooters too.

Weymouth bustles with entertainment for all ages any time of the year, but you may wish to explore more of Dorset’s countryside and visit a county town of Dorchester with museums, walks along the River Frome, pretty lanes with lovely shops.

A short drive away visit Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Purbecks with Corfe Castle further East.

The Pines is a lovely accommodation for families with children and makes a perfect base to explore Dorset.
