Explore your surrounding further by meandering around the winding streets of Sherborne, littered with a wide range of individually-owned shop and boutiques, accompanied by an array of tearooms, pubs, bistros and a la carte restaurants, offering something to suit all tastes.

Unravel the town’s history by paying a visit to the Abbey Church with its stone, fan-vaulted ceiling, and be sure to explore the Capability Brown gardens at Sherborne New Castle before heading to the contrasting Sherborne Old Castle, a 12th century ruin which once withstood two sieges during the Civil War.

Other things to do whilst visiting the town, include the Vroom Room, an interactive garage and mini road system, which is great for those visiting with young children and the nearby Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton promises a wonderful day out.

Venture to the nearby town of Yeovil and look forward to exploring the National Trust property of Montacute House, home to Tudor art in its Long Gallery or enjoy gentle strolls in the country park of Ninesprings.
