“Rose lodge was excellent in every way, we had stormy, cold wet weather and the lodge was incredibly warm and cosy.”

The furniture was extremely comfortable to relax in, the bed was incredibly comfortable. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and the wildlife abounds. We took 2 dogs and they couldn’t get enough of the endless walks around the lakes, the fields and woods. The garden is dog proof but you need to be mindful of squirrels and the owners chicken. My own personal preference would be to replace the carpets for vinyl flooring and replace the dishwasher for a washer/ dryer. The owners live on site ...

The owners live on site but don’t bother you but if there’s any problem they respond immediately and cannot do enough for you, they are really lovely people they also left a wonderful welcome pack of black pudding, bacon, sausages, tomatoes , fresh eggs, milk, tea, coffee, sugar and an absolutely delicious homemade pumpkin pie, dog treats and toy. I have to say that Rose Lodge far exceeded our expectations and Sykes service was excellent. We will definitely book to return and we will be using Sykes again.
