“The cottage was perfect for our needs.”

I booked relatively last minute for myself, my husband, our 18 month old and my in-laws. As it was one of the last properties that met our search criteria left at the time of booking I was very nervous about what we might find on arrival but was so pleasantly surprised. I booked relatively last minute for myself, my husband, our 18 month old and my in-laws. As it was one of the last properties that met our search criteria left at the time of booking I was very nervous about what we might find on arrival but was so pleasantly surprised. The off-road parking looked small in the pictures but we actually managed to get our campervan and estate car on there. The kitchen and bathroom looked very modern and newly fitted and were well equipped (both a shower and bath was a nice surprise). The main bedroom was big enough to put up our travel cot and still walk round the bed with ease, we were warm despite the cold weather and never had any issues with running out of hot water despite us all using the bath/shower every day. My in-laws used the twin beds and although they would have preferred a double, didn't have any problem with comfort. Having never been to somerset before I didn't know what to expect of the village/town but again was pleasantly surprised, we used the local takeaways which we don't get where we live in rural norfolk but unfortunately didn't try the pubs. We also spent a morning looking round the town, the second hand shops and the art gallery and also admiring the beautiful houses. All in all we had a wonderful holiday, this cottage made a brilliant and comfortable base and the area was lovely including the neighbours who stopped to chat to us about what we were planning to do with our week. I would be more than happy to recommend this property and the owners to friends and family and will make a note of the name in case we decide to come back to somerset again. Thank you for a lovely stay.
