  • "We had such a lovely time and the cottage was just perfect!"

Very well equipped, spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfy! Special shout out to the polish chickens - and we loved the freshly laid eggs, which was a lovely little touch! Would love to return if ever in the area again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • "Had a very relaxing stay in a very comfortable cottage."

There was everything we could possibly need in comfort, warmth, kitchen facilities and bathroom luxury. The owners, Viv and Huw were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The extras were a very welcome, thoughtful touch. The local pub was only 5 minutes away even though a torch ( once again provided!) was a good idea! A lovely local butcher with excellent produce was in South Petherton. The only downside as far as we were concerned was the lack of a bus service but that was nothing to do with the cottage. Altogether a very enjoyable week.

  • "We really enjoyed staying at Pittards Farm Cottage."

It was the perfect size and very comfortable and suited our needs to be in this area perfectly. The website photos were an exact and true description. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom with separate bath and shower was great. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge room very relaxing. Good to have parking right by the cottage, and the welcome gift of wine, biscuits and milk was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. The pub just a short walk away was quaint and enjoyable with good home cooked meals. We would certainly stay here again.

  • "Absolutely adored this little cottage."

It's a perfect getaway for a couple if you want a quiet, peaceful getaway. It had all the amenities we required, and everything was easy to access and use. The cottage had oodles of personality, and the older style of furnishings was absolutely darling. Viv was really friendly, and was there to greet us when we arrived. Though we didn't have to pester her for anything during our stay, it was nice to know that she was there should we need anything. The location is perfect, with plenty of National Trust houses, and forest walks nearby. Would highly recommend Ninesprings Park in Yeovil - the lakes and waterfalls are beautiful. Nicely situated so you can skip over to Dorset too

Settee and bed really comfortable. Owners really nice helpful people. Garden space in the orchard and with the beautiful chickens was lovely and very peaceful looking out over the fields. Lots of National Trusts houses/gardens in the area all very close so hardly any travelling needed to visit them. Also Clarks village was 30 min car ride away. We had a very relaxing holiday and visited the Garden that is open in the village and had a few meals in the Village pub. Food there was good.

A very relaxing and peaceful property where many things were provided including hand soap dispensers/sanitizer/dishwasher tablets/shower gel/shampoo and much more. Only one slight amendment to the Sykes description, there is a washing machine but it is not a dryer. The property

In the little village of East Lambrook, about a mile from South Petherton village, is this detached cottage.

Converted from stables, it is a stylish base for a couple.

From the drive, where a horse occasionally clip-clops by, head up a couple of steps through arched doors into your smart kitchen with its flagstone floor and table for enjoying breakfast over the papers.

For suppers or quiet time, you have a dining room too, also with the charming flagstone floor, where you can enjoy the ready meals available if you don't feel like cooking or eating at the village pub.

The sitting room is cosy, with its oak floor and lovely Knole sofa to relax on.

Take the stairs up to your double bedroom, a romantic room with big bed and atmospheric period fabrics, accompanied by a bathroom with characterful roll-top bath or option of a shower.

Outside, you have a pretty sitting out area in the garden of the owners' old thatched farmhouse, as well as use of an orchard where you can enjoy sunny alfresco meals at the picnic table.

This is a wonderful area for visiting amazing houses and gardens or churches.

Within the village itself is a manor house with cottage gardens famous for the national snowdrop and geranium collections, where you can buy plants to take home and enjoy afternoon tea, or head off to wonderful Montacute, Barrington Court or Tintinhull.

Walk up Ham Hill for superb views from the Iron Age fort.

The closest coast is in Dorset, at Bridport or Lyme Regis.

With easy access to the A303 or M5, Pittards Farm Cottage is a smashing location for exploring the area.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
