Lovely remote, quiet location for peace and quiet with the added bonus of a field to walk your dog in yet only 40 minutes from the nearest beaches. Beautiful stylish interior with lovely comfy beds, crisp white bed linen and sparkling clean. The photos of the stunning open plan downstairs don’t do it justice - it’s open enough to be a wonderful social family space yet the styling and open fire make it cosy in winter evenings. We were even left 2 full baskets of logs which gave us 4 nights of open fires - a real bonus in November! Only minor drawbacks were the shower on the top floor took so long to drain due to the pump system that we didn’t use it after the first night and the food waste left in the food caddy from previous occupants (a very slight oversight seeing as everything else was sparkling). Hot water also ran out and needed some time to reheat with 7 adults getting ready together in the morning - stagger your showers/baths where you can. These did not spoil our holiday in this beautiful home though. Communication and information from Sykes and the owners was excellent. Would definitely recommend and visit again as excellent value for money!
