  • "We loved the house."

The location is amazing with access directly on to the beach. The house is well furnished and the bathrooms are modern with great showers. The beds are comfortable. Everything is decked out in a neutral palette which worked well. The boys loved the pool table and the paddle board. The morning sun on the outdoor space was amazing, it was very calm and peaceful. We just wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you to the owner for being available and friendly. Having never been to Swanage before we would love to re-visit.

  • "We had an amazing week in this beautiful house."

Perfect location with great beach access and an easy walk in to town. The house is very spacious, clean and very well equipped. Beds are very comfy and showers are great. Loved the sea views from the garden. Great house for a family holiday. Thank you to the host who was very welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend. 10/10.

  • "This is a fantastic property."

The back garden gate opens across a path and on to the beach. No roads to cross. We were carrying cups of tea down to the beach. There is a walk direct from the house along the beach and up on to the headland and to the Old Harry Rocks. Takes about an hour. The site list of facilities says 'Off road parking'. This is a mistake. There is no off road parking. There is free parking in the roads around, but at busy times spaces can be tricky to find.

  • "We had a lovely stay with our family and our friends at the Beach House."

The location right on the beach was perfect and so convenient for the town too. The house is great and well equipped with everything you need. Des was a great host - he went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay, he was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Altogether a lovely stay, would highly recommend!

  • "I would be surprised if this house won’t be sold out every single day."

The view from this house is amazing, the sunset at here is like Maldives. It is located at Swanage, which is very quiet and peaceful, not commercial, not like other town in Dorset. And the owner of this property is very kind and helpful, everything seems perfect, highly recommended!

Beautiful house. Comfortable lounge and the Poole table great for families. Lovely bedrooms with the most glorious views. The garden overlooks the beach and access via steps such an advantage. Comfortable garden furniture including a barbecue and paddle board. There is nothing not to like. We were met by the owners who were delightful and welcoming. The best rental property we have had.

About the location

SWANAGE

Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
