  • "My fiancé and I had a fantastic stay at Willow Bank."

The owners were welcoming, the property was larger than expected and cleaner than expected after reading some reviews. I would stay here again and highly recommend. My only criticism is it’s not very transparent that the owners property is attached to Willow Bank. Privacy isn’t an issue though.

  • "The Sykes reputation allayed concerns of quality upon arrival because initial findings were of the exterior being shabby, with a steep, grass strewn & unkempt entrance, Thankfully, the cottage interior was clean, well-equipped, cosy & comfy."

The bed/room high quality. A clothes airer would be useful. There was plentiful hot water & adjustable room heating. The views were exaggerated from the lounge seating. The rear garden was steep and views exaggerated; the patio was unattractive. Inconsiderate parking by the other resident (we were not aware they were the owners until mid-week) made un/loading hard work (in the rain with 2 dogs & 2 adults) as we could not reverse up the drive. The location is convenient & peaceful, although no amenities nearby. Dorset supports nature, is a picturesque county and people very friendly.

  • "This is just a small point, but it would be nice as it is dog friendly accommodation to have had a few details of suitable areas near Willow Bank to exercise a dog as footpaths are limited in the village."

This could be in cooperated in the welcome folder. The location is very good for visiting a number of places on the coast. My wife, labrador and myself had a lovely break, Tolpuddle is quiet, peaceful and rather special.

We'd like to thank the owners for the tea, coffee, milk and biscuits that greeted us on arrival. We will definitely be coming back.

  • "We think it should be made clearer how steep the hill is that the cottage is on."

It was extremely hard work to unpack the car which is parked at the bottom of hill and carry everything up to the cottage. Apart from that it is perfect and the owners are a lovely couple and extremely helpful.
