"The property was ideally located close to Lymington with all its services but also for the New Forest and the coast."
The house itself was beautifully put together, very comfortable and there was nothing we considered “missing”. The owner Charles was very responsive and communication throughout the process was excellent. We would highly recommend a stay here.

"Absolute Luxury!"
We had a fabulous stay at Lilac Cottage and would highly recommend. We travel often and have stayed in various cottages but this one beats them all hands down. Spacious, modern, spotlessly clean, beds are super comfortable and all top specification appliances. WI-FI, Netflix, self enclosed back patio if you are taking your four legged friend, perfect! All amenities on your doorstep, stone throw to The New Forest and likewise to the coast, 10 minute drive each way. This certainly will be my go to place every time. Property owner could not of been more helpful. Thank you!

"We had a great stay at Lilac Cottage, which is a wonderfully presented house in Pennington, on the outskirts of Lymington."
It is a perfect location for trips to the beach, to the New Forest, and beyond. The house is very modern - the highlight for us being the kitchen, very well kitted out with everything you need if you like cooking and eating at home. The living room has a Wii, which went down well with our kids. The owner is super friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Tucked away on the outskirts of Pennington near Lymington, Hampshire, is this contemporary, detached holiday home, Lilac Cottage.
Enjoying a superb location right on the outskirts of the New Forest National Park, and the quay and bustling amenities of Lymington, Lilac Cottage is a fantastic choice for a group or family of six.
The property benefits from roadside parking, and a lovely rear garden with patio and seating, ideal for soaking up the last of the day’s rays.
Step into the light and airy kitchen, where you can whip up delicious dishes, ready to enjoy at the dining table for six over a bottle of celebratory fizz; just off the kitchen, you will find a handy utility space for your convenience.
After dinner, make your way through to the sitting area, where you can relax on the sumptuous corner sofa in front of your favourite film on the large TV.
Head upstairs, where you will find a beautiful bathroom, where you can freshen up with your choice of bath or shower, along with three tastefully decorated bedrooms, a king-size with en-suite shower room, a double and a bunk.
Head to nearby Lymington where you can pick up a portion of fish and chips and amble the three marinas and watch the yachts dock in the harbour.
After that, explore the cobbled streets and browse the artisan shops, boutiques and galleries, or head to the weekly market and pick up some local produce.
Attend the annual Lymington Seafood Festival held in July and take advantage of the many excellent restaurants, tea rooms and stylish bistros that make this a top foodie destination.
There’s a plethora of family friendly activities available in this port town; test your balance on stand-up paddle boarding, enjoy a sunset cruise and catch the lively Carnival in July.
Head to the New Forest National Park and enjoy a range of scenic hikes and bike rides, along with the attractions of the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, Buckler's Hard, Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary, the excellent New Forest Golf Club, and the New Forest Heritage Centre.

Lyndhurst 9 miles; Christchurch 12 miles; Southampton 18 miles.
The charming market town of Lymington is situated on the west bank of the Lymington River at the western end of The Solent, at the southern edge of the New Forest National Park. As well as being a favoured sailing resort, there are also regular ferry links to the Isle of Wight. The town boasts an array of interesting boutiques and craft shops, or you can treat yourselves to a meal at one of the numerous local restaurants. Lymington is surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, from the heathlands and ancient woodlands of the New Forest to the coastal nature reserves which extend for 5 miles culminating in the shingle spit which is home to Hurst Castle, built in 1554 by Henry VIII. Lymington provides an excellent touring base from which to explore the New Forest, the Isle of Wight and the Hampshire coast.
