Woodlands Bungalow is located in East Stoke, near the village of Wool and the pretty riverside town of Wareham in delightful Dorset, offering a superb base for a family or group of friends looking for a peaceful getaway near to the spectacular Jurassic Coast.

Step into the property and be welcomed by the open-plan living space, complete with a kitchen area and a dining area where you can gather together and cook up tasty meals whilst you plan your holiday itinerary.

From here, settle down on the sofa to switch on the TV or get lost in a good book in the sitting area before retiring to the bedrooms when the day draws to a close.

Guests will benefit from two doubles and one bunk bedroom consisting of two bunk beds, and the family bathroom offers a tranquil space to freshen up between activities, complete with a walk-in shower, basin and WC.

In the warmer months, why not dine alfresco on the outside patio area, while your four-legged friend runs off some energy on the lawn before the next day of excursions.

Doorstep walks or a short car journey will bring you to a local shop offering all your daily essentials such as eggs, milk and bread, as well as a selection of pubs serving home-cooked food and traditional ales, such as the Seven Stars Inn.

The historic town of Wareham is slightly further afield, sitting along the River Frome, which provides a lovely backdrop and day out; here you will find a good selection of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants and galleries.

Pay a visit to Monkey World, an ape rescue centre with more than 250 rescued animals, plus the delightful Wareham Forest offers plenty of picturesque strolls and see if you can spot some of the amazing wildlife that inhabits the area, including deer and lizards.

Why not take a trip to the Tank Museum for an educational and lovely day out for all the family.

Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are a short and scenic drive from the property and are home to glorious beaches, you won't want to miss the opportunity to walk the incredible Jurassic Coast.

There is also an abundance of watersports activities taking place in the area, or for a more relaxed day out, visit the Lulworth Estate to explore the magnificent house and surrounding greenery.

East Lulworth 4 miles; Wareham 6.2 miles; Weymouth 16.1 miles.

Wool is a small Dorset village with It’s own railways station and Jurassic Coast bus (X54) linking Poole and Weymouth. The River Frome runs through the village and has famous connections as the 17th Century Woolbridge manor where ‘Tess of the D’Ubervilles’ spent her honeymoon her honeymoon in the Thomas Hardy’s novel. Thomas Hardy’s Cottage can be found just outside Dorchester around 12 miles from Wool and offers an interesting day out. Some of Purbeck’s most loved attractions are also on the doorstep of Wool, with the Tank Museum, Clouds Hill, the home of Lawrence of Arabia and Monkey World rescue centre. A short 5 mile drive will see you in West Lulworth where you can enjoy the spectacular geological sites of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Wool offers everything you need for a rural retreat in Dorset.
