If the chef of the group fancies a break, why not try one of the local restaurants almost on the doorstep of the property, The Courtyard Restaurant boasting meals made from local produce and a largely gluten-free menu, or perhaps venture further into the city to The Greek Taverna or Da Luciano Pizzeria for some European cuisine.

The popular Wells market, selling and array of local goods, and the quaint high street are just a short walk round the corner from Priest Row.

Wells, England’s smallest city, is named after the springs which still bubble up today in the grounds of its splendid Bishop's Palace with its famous moat. Adjacent is the beautiful 12th century cathedral situated within a most attractive cathedral close and green. Nearby, Vicars Close is home to the oldest complete medieval street in Europe, and the quaint market square offers an array of interesting shops, boutiques and restaurants, and a colourful twice-weekly market.
