Fabulous accommodation for families/friends in very peaceful countryside. We enjoyed outings in the surrounding region during the daytime and mostly catered for ourselves. But we would also recommend the Hook & Glove at Farley, which does great food and is well worth a visit (dogs welcome).

It’s location is stunning with deer a regular sight. Our only comments would be for the 2nd bedroom to also have a king size bed and we found the sofas a bit uncomfortable. Would it stop us coming back - absolutely not.

  • "The cottage and location was excellent."

The only issue we had is with the boiler in the entrance lobby. The room is constantly damp and the smell permeates through the rest of the house.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your stay at Farley Lodge but are sorry you encountered this issue in the entrance hall. On investigation this was caused by a ruptured valve on the hot water tank which was fixed immediately we became aware of the problem and there is no smell as described. Numbers are provided in the welcome pack and we are also next door to assist should guests encounter any issues or have any queries during their stay. Property Owner

It's necessary to drive carefully though as you're getting near to the property as the road is very bumpy and we ended up with a puncture. Check out time was also a bit early at 10am. But overall it's a great place to stay.

The facilities were all excellent 3 lovely bedrooms a very large kitchen and lounge. Plenty of room for coats and boots when you came back from walking in the woods. To just step out of the front door across the path and into Bentley woods was perfect every day we saw lots Deer and squirrels although we got lost on several occasions we always managed to find our way home. An added bonus was the village shop in Winterslow which sells everything and we spent several mornings in Stockbridge where the parking in free and the shops are all individual. We were 4 adults and there was plenty of room for each of us to have our own space. If you want a holiday where you can just relax in peaceful surroundings this is for you.

  • "We had a brilliant weekend at Farley Lodge."

Virtually everything about it was amazing; the location, the size of the lodge and its facilities were all wonderful. The yummy cupcakes and milk provided on arrival were a lovely welcoming touch. We very quickly felt quite at home here. The added bonus was the super weather, particularly on Sunday when our older daughter and family and her in-laws joined us for a roast dinner. It was so good we sat outside for much of the day and the little ones had great fun playing in the large rear garden and in the woods opposite, where they spotted a huge herd of deer. Everyone was very impressed with the lodge itself and its beautiful location. We only had a couple of slight niggles. One of the tv controllers needed new batteries and only one toilet roll was supplied in each bathroom. However, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue and we're hoping to book again for next summer.
