    “House perfect size for adults, kids and dog.”


    Access in difficult for buggies, need to hold on to small children due to steps and uneven paths, entry/exit is straight into road. Parking outside church was used as suggested, as basically no parking at property unless you have a small car, and only a stones throw from house. Only real down side are showers. only one you can use is in down stairs bathroom, and that is terrible. No signal for TV in evenings so stuck with BBC1, would suggest you take DVD’s. House is in need of a bit of repair to tidy it up, but overall facilities were good, and welcome bowl tea/coffee on arrival was a nice touch.

With superb walks leading from the property across the hills you can enjoy the breath-taking views to Durdle Door, down to Lulworth village or simply to the cove itself. After your day out why not relax on the dining terrace and enjoy a family meal, or glass of wine with friends, while soaking in some of the most spectacular views and countryside Dorset has to offer.

For that perfect day out, and only a short drive away is The Tank Museum or why not visit the popular Monkey World.

Wareham 9.1 miles; Weymouth 14.7 miles

West Lulworth boasts some of the most dramatic geological features on the Jurassic coastline and arguably the most photographed locations in the UK. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door sit at the heart of this area and really are a must see. Lulworth Cove has many little café’s and beachside shacks serving local seafood, ice cream and other delights, as well as several restaurants and pubs from which to choose. There is an Lulworth estate information centre which offers an insight into how the cove and Durdle door were formed and Jurassic history of the region. If you tire of Cove and cliff top walks then Lulworth Castle is a short drive away and offers another glimpse at some more recent history, along with Tyneham Village, and Corfe Castle. This is a really special area and the village retains a lot of it’s thatched cottages and has a real air of a rural retreat.
