  • "This was our second holiday at this property and was as enjoyable as our first - which is not always the way these things happen ."

    We probably will not be making a third stay though due to parking charges incurred during out 2 week holiday which will add an extra £100 to our expenses . These charges were incurred by the removal of the holiday property owners of Weymouth rights to purchase parking permits by the Dorset District Council whose actions, we discovered during our stay will deter other visitors from making a return also . We wish the owner of our holiday apartment well and thank you - Alan

    Thank you so much for coming again and enjoying the flat. We are sorry that Dorset council have stopped the parking permit we supply, however Weymouth Station (which is just around the corner) has weekly parking for £29.50. Hope to see you again! Property Owner

  • "I had a great solo stay at Belvedere no."

    5, in a smart period town house on the esplanade. It was clean, safe, comfortable and well equipped, with ample space for one or two people. The property information is accurate about the stairs - the last set up to the attic space where no. 5 is, is steep. I agree with the reviewer who flagged that the shower screen allows water to splash out - I kept it on low power to try and avoid this. The property's location is ideal, being on the sea front and in easy walking distance for town, Greenhill and beyond. It's also a great base for exploring further afield. The sea views and period features are highlights. I've been booking with Dream Cottages for years and was a little surprised to see the correspondence under the Sykes brand but I experienced the usual high standards and enjoyable holiday. I would definitely stay at Belvedere no. 5 again and hope to return to Weymouth and Dream Cottages again next year. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

  • "The utensils in the kitchen are not adequate no teaspoons, no dessert spoons only one sauce pan."

    The flat wasn’t very clean surfaces and floors sticky. This lets the flat down.

    Please accept our apologies regarding the lack of cutlery and kitchen equipment. Due to a glitch in the cleaning services provided, this was inadvertently left in the dishwasher. Dream Cottages who arrange the cleaning services have assured us that this will not happen again. They do ask anyone who has any issues to contact them immediately.   • "The apartment was perfect - spotlessly clean with an amazingly equipped kitchen!"

    The detailed description of the apartment should mention all the items provided - deck chairs for instance. The shower screen needs attention. It is too small and results in the bathroom getting flooded after each shower. Walk to carpark was OK and the stairs? We knew about them and it’s good for the cardio!! A welcome pack would have been nice? All in all though, this apartment is in a fantastic position and we loved every minute of it!

  • "The flat is 5 floors up, which was fine for us but must point out that the last flight was quite steep so difficult carrying luggage up on the first day."

    The touch bedside lamps were very temperamental and sometimes just wouldn't turn on for me, although my husband seemed to have more luck. We also struggled to fully understand the rubbish instructions so ended up putting the rubbish in one of the bags at the back. I apologise if it was the wrong one. Husband took the recycling to the bins outside Al Molo (excellent restaurant). Wonderful view from the living room and dining room windows over the bay and binoculars provided which we used daily to monitor the cruise ships moored there. A lovely touch. A 10 minute walk from the apartment to the harbour/lanes (we walk quickly) but again that suited us as it was quiet at night. The parking was a breeze and plenty of spaces available in the Swannery carpark. No problems with the Wifi but the telly did keep losing signal on ITV... a bit annoying during football matches. Also had to buy batteries for the remote as it wasn't working but that should be fine for other guests now. The apartment was well equipped although the larger plates wouldn't fit into the dishwasher, but again didn't cause any hardship having to wash a few pots. Overall we had a lovely stay in a nice and clean apartment and would definitely book it again if we go back to Weymouth.

  • "We found the property to be totally as described in the advertisement."

    - this was extremely pleasing and allowed us a really pleasant weeks holiday. The only criticism was the fire door - one floor down which is permanently locked- in the event of a fire on any of the 4 floors below escape from the apartment appears to be virtually impossible -
