  • "The door between the lounge and dining area should be hung so that it opens inwards not knocking the downstairs toilet door if someone comes out of the toilet."

In a well equipped property with handbooks for electrical appliances,it was surprising to find that the hoover and clothes airer had been stored in cupboard under the stairs in lounge with large heavy three seater settee blocking access to cupboard. This was unsuitable for retired customers.

  • "The double bed on 1st floor had a spring sticking up, visible through sheet as a protrusion."

The twin beds were hard and uncomfortable. The mattress in the ensuite however, was comfortable. There was a smell of petrol or similar in the 1st floor double bedroom. The kitchen was good as was the dining area. Location good too. We reported these problems on Tuesday to the local office, who emailed the owner, however, as far as I know no reply yet.

Good location for access to the beach.

  • "The house provided functional holiday accommodation but was somehow cheerless."

No welcome pack and only two dishwasher tablets to last 4 people one week! The sofas were downright uncomfortable for any length of time sitting around. No proper sized knives for preparing fruit or vegetables, just one tiny blunt one and some very large ones. Clean in the obvious areas but not in every corner and some kitchen cupboard interiors were very dusty. On a positive note, towels were provided, though your description said they were not. We wonder if the owner is aware of how dirty and unwashed the exterior windows, paintwork, eaves and gutters are? Grass is growing in the front gutter.

  • "Despite having no access until 5 pm the standard of cleanliness was disapointing."

There was litter under the sofas, the floor was dusty and some of the carpets had not been swept recently. On being informed Dream Cottages were swift to clean the place properly as soon as they could. After this disapointing start we enjoyed the rest of the holiday very much in this well appointed property.

  • "The house was very comfortable and clean."

We know Weymouth quite well and knew that the house was situated within easy walking distance of the town and that we would not be far from the main shops and places to eat. We were unsure of what would be open at this time due to the Covid-19 restrictions, but were pleased to see that most of our favourite places had managed to reopen, at that time.

  • "This property is ideal for exploring Weymouth and the surrounding areas."

We walked down to the sea front in around 8-10 minutes which was really handy. It is close to the old railway path which was a lovely walk. Only grumble we had was that there was only one key to the front door and also the plumbing on the top floor needs attention as water runs slow. Not anything to spoil our holiday

  • "The furniture in the lounge is worn out and is extremely uncomfortable to sit on, it really needs replacing urgently."

As we had some wet weather during our holiday this really made time spent indoors less than enjoyable. The bed on the top floor is very hard although I have to admit this may just be down to personal taste. There was no access to a vacuum cleaner? The garden is far from child friendly but I have to admit it was not advertised as such.

  • "Really cosy place which has everything you need."

Excellent location, only a 15 min walk into central but still in a quiet neighbourhood. Only feedback would be to provide bath towels/hand towels as it’s a little hassle having to bring them with us.

The property was in an excellent location, very roomy and had all the facilities we needed. All in all though we had a fab stay and lovely time in Weymouth and would recommend Dream Cottages and Farthings to friends and family. Stayed July 2018

  • "The house was a good size."

There was plenty of space in the lounge for 2 young children to play. Good television and wi-fi. The location is excellent, with an easy, flat walk to the beach. Stayed August 2018.
