  • "Excellent location with close proximity to the sea and the town centre."

Ideal for all ages with two sitting rooms to accommodate young and older. The kitchen was well equipped with a very generous and well received welcome tray of goodies, a dining table to fit 12 and comfortable beds. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Dealing with the recyclable rubbish was a challenge as we couldn’t find any instructions.

  • "The property was amazing with a well-equipped kitchen, plenty of space, most rooms with ensuite bathrooms, a great location close to the beach and town and, to top it all off, beautiful Christmas decorations."

The house was more like a home than a holiday rental. We had a family Christmas reunion with people travelling from across the globe to meet up and we were delighted to find that Seaside House exceeded our expectations. Thank you to the owner for the welcome gifts as well!

Great location to everything especially a bus stop at the top of the road. Plenty of room for all and would not hesitate to recommend.

The position to the seafront was excellent, which was especially enjoyed by the 5 young grandchildren. Thank you for the excellent welcome pack which was enjoyed by everyone. It was a delightful property with character which was ideal for making memories of a great family holiday by the sea.

  • "We had such an amazing stay!"

The accommodation was beautiful, clean and spacious. We had a ‘welcome package’ which was a lovely touch. The only suggestion we’d make is around the check out time. As a big family with young children, 10am was a bit of a rush. Other than that, we couldn’t fault it! Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again :D

  • "Our stay was wonderful."

The house is beautifully decorated and has lots of space (there were 10 of us for a family celebration). It had everything we needed and more, so many bathrooms! It is such a short walk to get to the sea. We would love to stay again.

  • "Beautifully presented and everything you could think of that you would need, was there."

We were a family with kids and there was space for all 12 of us to sit around the table and have our breakfast/ dinner and to play games. The house was also spacious enough, so we where not on top off ourselves. Located 5 mins walk to the beach but quietly located from the hustle and bustle, perfect!

  • "What an incredible property!"

Such an ideal position and perfect for the multi generational family. The thoughtful owner went above and beyond to provide equipment pertinent to our needs, and also provided a generous welcome pack. The only quibbles we had were with the temperature in the very top room that might have benefited from a fan to cool it down. The downstairs bedroom needed blackout blinds ideally to stop the light from street lights shining in. Would happily go back and stay for longer!

  • "What a fabulous house, great location and everything you’d need for a holiday at the seaside."

The little extras on arrival were very welcome. One thing which would make it perfect is to have access to terrestrial tv, not just BBC1. Thank you, we’ll definitely be using Dream Cottages again!

  • "A really lovely place."

Great location with everything we needed to hand. Kitchen very well equipped. Perfect accomodation for multiple families. Very clean and well kept. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend and/or book again if we were back in the area. Was great to have the extra car parking passes as we were 3 separate families. The only one downside for us personally was temperature of rooms. The house was very warm when we arrived and we turned all of the radiators down unfortunately we couldn't work out how to turn down the heated towel rails in the bathrooms down which did make them a little uncomfortable at times. If we had been staying longer we would have contacted the owner to see if we could rectify but by the second night it was our last night anyway so didn't bother. I remember reading a review about someone saying they were cold in the property - the complete opposite for us lol! Feedback for Sykes - we contacted Sykes through the app a few days before arrival with a question regarding the beds and bedding. This was responded to after we had actually been in the property one night already (so was too late) and didn't actually answer our question satisfactorily as it just literally copied what we could read on the website so that was a little poor. Absolutely no reflection on the property or property owner though.

  • "Wonderful property in excellent location."

Understand that the heating is set at various times. However given how cold it was last week it would have been appreciated if the heating had been on for an hour or so before 4pm so that it gave a warm and comfy feel opposed to us trying to find out how to boost it. Otherwise Wonderful.

  • "Excellent property in a really good location within the town - and good value."

Very clean and well equipped. Highly recommended unless you want to go to Weymouth to watch tv - the main tv was the only one that worked and the picture on that was poor.

Space for everyone, facilities top class, particularly in the kitchen. Parking permits were a great help and of course proximity to the beach and promenade could not be bettered and in a pleasant, quiet road. Would certainly recommend.

A very nice property with all the mod con’s in a lovely location, The only thing I would have a grumble about is the fact that I was expected to strip the beds and empty the dishwasher on the morning before we left the property, other than that I would recommend this property to all my family and friends

Thankyou for taking the time to write your review and I'm really pleased that you had an enjoyable stay at Seaside House. Thankyou too for bringing these two issues to my attention. I can see from Sykes Cottages advice around departures that guests are advised to remove bed linen and empty the dishwasher, but I would like to note that the cleaning team are able to do both these things as it is recognised how time consuming packing up can be. Thankyou again for taking the time to provide feedback and I hope to welcome you back to Seaside House again in the future. The Owner Property Owner

  • "This was a fantastic holiday house."

There was so much space for us to spread out, very lucky to have both a huge dining room and living room areas. Location is literally minutes from the beach so really good. The house was decorated so luxuriously! It felt like a posh hotel, not a holiday house! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook up some big family meals and so many extra plates and cups which always comes in handy. Brilliant coffee machine. I would book this again in an instant!

The property was immaculate and done to a very high standard. Great location and would love to stay again. There was a panic when we arrived when the code for the key box was not what was sent on the email! We we stuck outside until we could get through to customer service to sort out. The only thing that would be helpful is if there was an email contact for Sykes Cottage rather than phone only.
