Flat perfect but spare set of keys would be great We did not mind outside street noise but it might be highlighted as some wouldvind it annoying

  • "The apartment is lovely, furnished to a high standard & great position."

Beautiful view of the beach & right next to all the shops & facilities. The only thing that lets it down is the cleanliness! It was not clean at all upon arrival- I had to hoover myself to get up the hairs & masses of crumbs on the floor & over table surfaces!! Yuk!! The bathroom did not apply clean either, such a shame & no cleaning materials for me to do it myself, although you would not expect to have to do this for the amount we paid!

Thank you for your valuable feedback and glad you loved the position and how the property was furnished. We are really sorry that the cleaning was not up to our normal high standards on this occasion, we would gladly arranged for a cleaner to return if we were made aware during your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back to Dream Cottages again soon. Property Owner

  • "Property was very well presented, lovely decor but we think you should have highlighted the fact that the flat was above a very busy bus stop which meant very high noise levels."

It was also a meeting point for noisy revellers and a popular route for boy racers. The information pack was very useful but there were no instructions for the oven. Little things that would have made our stay more enjoyable would have been hooks on the back of the bathroom and bedroom doors and a place for shower gel/shampoo/soap in the shower. We were also very surprised that there was no way of recycling, we've always been able to do this in previous Sykes properties. Personally, we found the bed far too soft, and unfortunately the duvet was a thick winter one which was an issue with the glorious weather we had. We loved our time in Weymouth and hope this feedback is useful.

  • "I would highly recommend this property for the following reasons: superb location."

..we didn’t use the car all week as everything you need is on your doorstep, no more than 10 mins walk away. No parking costs as a permit included in rental price. Stunning views from the bay window. Lovely, contemporary, newly refurbished property with super comfy beds and sofa. Very stylishly presented. Great shower in bathroom, brilliant pressure and tons of hot water! Fully equipped kitchen with good size coffee mugs and nice cutlery and crockery. Lovely spacious master bedroom with separate dressing area. At the back of the property so no noise from the street if window closed. Couple of minor negatives: It was noisy in the front bedroom due to the old sash windows and stag/hen groups spilling out of the pubs nearby. Very hot in the apartment but a large fan was provided which was a godsend. The mattress protectors and sheets on the single beds were too small due to the extra thick mattresses (lovely!) so they kept pinging off and rucking up every night with two fidgety kids being a bit uncomfortable. Was very pleased to find there is a washer/dryer at the property...just wish it had been listed in the description...I would have taken less clothes! Highly recommended and would definitely go again!

    Thankyou.

  • "There was no hot water on the day of arrival and the freezer wasn't working - but both defects were remedied on the following day."

On the second day of our stay we decided to use the oven for a celebratory meal only to find that it didn't work. An electrician arrived on the third day and found that the oven had been put in position with no plug attached to the bare wires (he fitted a plug). Clearly no-one had bothered to check that the oven was working before letting the apartment! Other minor issues: a shortage of place mats and no washing-up liquid for those like us who do not use a dishwasher.

Thank you for your valuable feedback and please accept our apologies that the oven was not connected prior to your stay. The kitchen is newly fitted and you were the first guests to stay and this was an oversight. We will check on changeover regarding the placemats as the owner bought a number of them which were located in a kitchen cupboard. We look forward to welcoming you back to another Dream Cottage soon.
