"The Mouse House is a really comfortable and peaceful place to stay."
It is very warm with the underfloor heating even in the coldest part of winter when we were there. Although it is quite small (as the name suggests) it doesn’t feel poky due to the lovely big windows.

"Very pretty location and perfect for visiting all the favourite places in Dorset."
For two people wanting to have a quiet holiday with lovely views this is perfect.
The only sounds are of nature and if it is harvesting time this is a real treat to see and hear.
Would definitely go back again and experience it all over again.

"The place its self was fine."
Clean an tidy etc small but with everything you need for a short stay and for us it was a very short stay as we were very disappointed that the garden was not made secure for the dog. We saw no one at all the time we were there to asked if the small garden an the lawn belongs to us as there was a chain across it Mark private but as I said before not secure and as its a farm land all around with cattle and sheep the last thing you want is for your dog to get out . To us the write up was very miss leading to being dog friendly. And we felt we could not stay for the whole week and decided to come home on the Wednesday and it was with much that we had to do that

"Since the owners moved away we felt the cottage was not as clean as it should have been."
There was a vacuum cleaner which was blocked so didn't work until my husband fixed it. Also the kettle we feel needs replacing as it didn't always switch off and was badly in need of a descale.

It was just what the doctor ordered, peaceful and relaxing.
Absolutley loved this hidden little gem in the countryside.

"The Mouse House is exactly what it says it is small, compact, quite, relaxed, the bed is comfortable, warm private, with outside private sitting area with table and chairs."
despite no oven there is a microwave come oven to use which we chose not to as the pub down the road the Milton Arms is brilliant, affordable friendly very good hot home cooked food. The mouse house had all we needed for a weeks comfortable stay the views across the fields and the paddocks are a delight, For the ladies a hairdryer is provided so no need to pack your own. The owners are on hand anytime but also respect your privasy. The warm welcome they give you when you arrive to your mouse house is friendly and helpful Well appointed accomodation for the area to explore, no where is too far to travel to. Local information of leaflets and maps are very helpful for new comers to the area. Should you be bored of an evening they also provide books to read television to watch or the rolling fields outside the window to look across. We will not hesitate to go back.

"It was lovely but the only problem was the fridge."
It froze everything so I had to throw away over £25 worth of food. It was a small fridge . I did leave a note about it and I thought I would hear from them regarding it but there was no response. There was no way to adjust the setting.

"The kitchen area really is very limited - the lack of a cooker ( a Microwave oven has its limits and was too high for me ) and very small fridge,do not allow for much opportunity to store ingredients/ cook a fresh meal."
The addition of a mixing bowl and a colander would have helped me.The work surface is also too small. I appreciate that the nature of the space has its challenges but if you do not have a budget to eat out all the time then you are very restricted.

"The Mouse House is compact, comfortable, quiet and just perfect for escaping the daily rat race!"
It is modestly, but tastefully, furnished and provides virtually everything you could need on a daily basis. The kitchen does not have an oven but a microwave makes up for this. The Mouse House was freshly cleaned prior to our arrival and nicely presented. The owners, Paul and Sally, who live in the adjacent cottage, are friendly without being obtrusive. There is a small, private seating area to the rear of The Mouse House overlooking the garden and surrounding countryside. The location brings you within easy driving distance of the coast; allow around 20 minutes for Wareham, Swanage taking a further 20 minutes. The Tesco store in Blandford Forum (10 minutes) is easily accessed for all your food shopping and fuel. The town also has a reasonable selection of smaller shops and banks. Both Dorchester and Bridport are also well worth a visit. There are a wide choice of decent pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area for dining out but booking in advance seems essential, as we found out! The Royal Oak in nearby Milborne St. Andrew (5 minutes) provides hearty pub grub at reasonable prices. All in all, we spent a very pleasurable week in this peaceful part of Dorset.
