  • "Our stay in Peacock Cottage was delight with excellent facilities, a nearby pub 'Winterbourne Arms' and walks for our dog."

There is plenty of places to visit in and around Salisbury and that is very useful when the weather is not so kind to you, we didn't miss a day with things to do. One special mention when things don't quite go to plan. The response from the owner was immediate and sorted within a few hours, so there was no disruption to our holiday. I would recommend Peacock Cottage any time as a place to stay, relax and enjoy.

  • "Such a lovely cottage tastefully decorated within the smallest detail."

Extraordinary blooming garden with cosy sittingplace. Best for breakfast and enjoying the sun. With regard to the extraordinary fireplace in the livingroom we regret the wonderful weather. ;-) Best morning walks for my Labrador as the river is within to minutes reach (or less)

  • "Lovely property, quirky 15th century house with 21st century touches."

Warm and welcoming in a great position. There were 2 concerns, parking is very tight we resorted to parking on the road. if you have slightly iffy knees there is no where to sit other than a metal framed chair, The sofas are so soft you actually cannot get up! A single armchair in place of the metal framed chair would really be useful otherwise well equipped has everything you need and much more besides. Owner left supplies for us and our dog

  • "I had a wonderful stay at 1 Peacock Cottage."

The cottage was warm and welcoming upon arrival with timed heating and lighting so it felt immediately cosy. The property was completely spotless with lots of thoughtful touches left for guests - including a super cute Christmas stocking for my dog. There is such tremendous thought and attention to detail put in to the cottage - it may have been built in the 16th century but the amenities are definitely 21st century and the highest quality. The beds were super comfortable, and no expense has been spared with the soft furnishings. Yes - the stairs are narrow and the ceilings are low but that’s all in the property description - it wasn’t a problem for me as I’m only 5’2! It’s also very well equipped for staying with your dog and there are lots of lovely walks right in the doorstep (take your wellies in winter!). There really is everything you could possibly need for a lovely holiday in The Winterbournes. Thank you for a smashing stay!

  • "I really enjoyed my stay at peacock cottage We were there from the 18th of August for a week."

My husband and my daughter Luna stayed there to The moment we arrived we said Wow! What a beautiful cottage and garden The cottage is small but so sweet. I definitely recommend it. The people that own the cottage We're very helpful and kind, such lovely people I haven't come across such lovely people before So friendly and helpful I have no fault on anything about the cottage Maybe at night sometimes you got woken up by the traffic But that's because I am a light sleeper But the garden and the surrounding area is just so beautiful. We did do a lot of walks and the ford just down from the cottage is definitely worth seeing. It's beautiful I paddle in it. What a beautiful place and lovely people I definitely recommend anyone to stay there. The owners even left us a bottle of red wine. And bread and left washing up materials ect. Definitely the best place I have stayed in through you. Thank you I would definitely go back. Wish I was still there. The weather was hot every day, we were so lucky.

Thank you so much for such the review. That was very kind of you. Thrilled you had such a good time and you were able to see so many of the gems Wiltshire has to offer! It was a pleasure to have you stay. We enjoyed swapping car stories and it was nice to see your car on the drive. Thank you for leaving the cottage so tidy! A & B. Property Owner
