Resting in the Dorset village of Wool is this delightful ground-floor apartment, Wistaria, boasting spacious and elegant accommodation for two guests.

Ideal for a romantic retreat or an adventure with a friend, Wistaria is within reach of a wealth of attractions, from roaming the beautiful Dorset AONB, to beach days in Weymouth, and exploring the Jurassic Coast.

Step inside and be welcomed into the kitchen first, with a great range of appliances in here you can certainly see yourself whipping up a delicious meal for two, as well as a dishwasher for hassle-free tidying and a washing machine which is great for longer stays.

Just across the hall from the kitchen is the lovely bathroom, here you can feel refreshed with the overhead shower or take a soothing bath after a day of strenuous walking.

Head to the living room/diner to relax, passing the beautiful upright piano in the hall along the way, and find a snug spot on the large sofa in front of the Smart TV.

Enjoy your film as you are warmed by the open fire, with a large bay window offering an abundance of light into the room, with the dining table taking its place here before it.

Spend some sun-soaked time out in the large enclosed garden, with your canine companion by your side you can enjoy alfresco dining, and even explore the orchard beyond on a balmy evening.

The village of Wool is equipped with all you need for a great self-catered stay, with many shops, three pubs, a butchers and a bakers, as well as being on the doorstep of the The Tank Museum, an attraction not to be missed, it is home to a large display of tanks with some fascinating interactive activities and exhibits.

Also close by is the wonderful Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre, an amazing attraction not only because you get to see so many endangered primates in this open-air park, but because you get to support an organisation dedicated to the rescuing and safety of humans' closest genetic relatives!

The Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is just a stone's throw away, venture deep into the beautiful landscape and enjoy walks, cycling, and wildlife spotting, discovering lovely villages along the way.

Head to East Lulworth to visit Lulworth Castle, a stunning 17th century building steeped in history, visit the castle and grounds for a lovely day out, and climb the tower to experience the spectacular views over the Dorset countryside.

Often referred to as Dorset’s ‘lost’ village, Tyneham Village is also within easy reach, where only the memories of who used to live here now remain.

Hop onto the South West Coast Path at Lulworth Cove, only setting off after you have enjoyed the crystal clear waters of this scenic setting, before continuing on to Durdle Door, an iconic natural arch formed from a layer of hard limestone standing out of the sea, it's a great spot for a holiday snap!

Visit Weymouth for classic seaside fun with amusements, arcades, SEA LIFE Centre, and Weymouth's popular beach, as well as the Isle of Portland and a walk along the expansive Chesil Beach.

East Lulworth 4 miles; Wareham 6.2 miles; Weymouth 16.1 miles.

Wool is a small Dorset village with It’s own railways station and Jurassic Coast bus (X54) linking Poole and Weymouth.

The River Frome runs through the village and has famous connections as the 17th Century Woolbridge manor where ‘Tess of the D’Ubervilles’ spent her honeymoon her honeymoon in the Thomas Hardy’s novel.

Thomas Hardy’s Cottage can be found just outside Dorchester around 12 miles from Wool and offers an interesting day out.

Some of Purbeck’s most loved attractions are also on the doorstep of Wool, with the Tank Museum, Clouds Hill, the home of Lawrence of Arabia and Monkey World rescue centre.

A short 5 mile drive will see you in West Lulworth where you can enjoy the spectacular geological sites of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.
