  • "Super property with everything you need, the kitchen is very well equipped, the wet room is ideal."

The cleanliness was first class which is always a plus. Welcome pack was really good too; gave the right impression as it was very appreciative on arrival. Another great point is the games room; so if you have wet days you can have fun without having to go out. The hosts were perfect friendly and helpful. Hope to return.

Far enough from Wells to be in the country but close enough to have everything you need. The cycling is safe and easy and there's plenty to do nearby or a little drive away. The cottage itself is incredibly well looked after, very comfortable and well equipped. Although there's only a small amount of private outside space, the owners generously allow use of a large garden/orchard. The games room has ping pong and table football which is great on those wet days when you don't want to go out. We love it here and hope that we'll be back soon

It was comfortable, clean and very well equipped. Set in a lovely location with views over to the Mendips, it was well located for outings all over the region, with a lot to do and see locally yet was quiet and tranquil with a lovely patio for eating out, and a fantastic games room for children. The nearest town is Wells, which is charming, which has a choice of supermarkets and other shops, and there are local pubs for eating out if you choose to. A great holiday stay that lacks for nothing.

  • "The milking parlour is set in a beautiful location, breath taking sunsets and sunrises!"

The orchard which is part of the experience has lots of rabbits hopping about which isn't something you see every day and was lovely to observe. The cottage itself was clean and functional with everything you need to make a home from home, The hosts Pauline and Dave were very friendly and on hand if you needed anything but to be honest everything was just perfect, The welcome pack was handy and the fresh flowers were a nice touch, I had a chat to the hosts who were both interested in any feedback as they are keen to ensure everything about the property is up to expectations, My feedback to them was as above and the only thing I could say that wasn't positive for me personally was that the sofa although very nice and in excellent condition was to soft for me as I have a back problem but was perfectly fine for both my husband and son, I brought my folding garden chair with me which is my regular go to in such situations and so we were all happy, Overall a beautiful place in a wonderful location with friendly hosts what more could you ask for!

  • "The layout of the propriety is ok and functional."

However the double bed is not full size so someone over 5ft 5 will hang off the end of the bed and the mattress did not aid a good nights sleep being very soft . The sofas are old and uncomfortable and need updating , and overall there was dust and cobwebs accumulated from some time. The games room is also unclean especially underneath the sofa. I would recommend taking your own cot if taking a young child as the mattress is behind the sofa in the games room dirty and dusty. The kitchen is functional and clean and had most things you need. The welcome goods was much appreciated and useful when arriving for tea and toast.

Thankyou for taking the time to give feed back. I would just like to clarify a few points. Firstly the mattress stored in games room is not the cot mattress, as we had explained. The cot mattress is kept in the main house. The mattress in the games room is a full sized single which has been used by a regular guest who likes to camp out for a night. The bed is a standard double bed, as described in brochure. We may have missed some dust/ cobwebs behind the settee in games room. It's not often guests need to pull this out. I will endeavour to check. The barn conversion has very high beams which are regularly checked. As you can see from our reviews no guest has ever complained and we are always complimented on our cleanliness. The sofas are not old however we will look at them to check the suitability.
