We self-catered and arranged a food delivery from Morrisons in Stranraer, great service and quality. As for the views, they were amazing! We loved the surroundings, there was a different view from every window. A gentle amble to the lighthouse and clifftops provided peace of the countryside and good clean fresh air. All in all, we had a restful holiday in a gorgeous home surrounded by nature. Thank you.

We absolutely love it here! The house is perfect. You can either go on days out or stay local and spend as much time as you wish in the house. It’s such a peaceful getaway, I can’t praise this house enough. Iain & Marie are always on hand if you need anything. Their children who help out on the farm are lovely and very polite. If you’ve any questions about the farm, they always stop to answer them and have a little chat. Honestly, if you’re thinking about booking this house, just do it, you won’t be disappointed!! Marie and Ian have obviously put a lot of thought into the design and build of their two holiday homes. They were very welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. The area is slightly remote, which we loved. The house was extremely comfortable and very well equipped, with a huge kitchen/dining area, which we love on holiday. This is great for family interaction. The views out to sea and across Loch Ryan are great and you can watch the ferries coming and going all day. There are lots of places to go and things to do in the local and the general area, although much of this depends on the time of year of the visit. We had a lovely time and would certainly think of coming back in the future and using these lovely homes. Thank you for having us.

Locally, we loved every minute of the Galloway coast peninsular, the peace, tranquillity & sea air unwound our tired working minds and the property is really close to Corsewall Lighthouse, which is brilliant and their evening meal (a big shout out to Helen, who couldn't do enough to please!) is highly recommended.

Beautiful house and designed from the start with the user in mind. Excellent kitchen, eating area, lounge with sea views and a wood burner. Extra large bedrooms with en suite facilities, one on the ground floor that can easily accommodate wheel a chair. Cottage was spotless on arrival and and excellent home made Irish loaf, with strong cheese, chutney, bottle of wine and milk. Saw Marie a few times during our stay. I just suggested that a cullender and a slow cooker would be of benefit for the chef of the day. No sooner said, the next day she had been out and purchased both for each cottage. Now that is what I say is excellent customer/owner feedback results! Lovely lady. Hope all goes well with your lambing this year and don't work too hard.
