• "Stayed over new year and met bernie on arrival who showed us everything in the property, so warm and welcoming."

• "Had a lovely week in 9 Birch Grove this November ."

  Met by Bernie in the car park who took us to our accommodation which was just as described and showed us where everything was and how it worked . Was lovely and warm and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable even for our four legged friend who is part of our family and comes everywhere with us. Spotlessly clean and no lingering doggy smell ! Lovely country park opposite for walking too. Highly recommend .

• "We had a lovely break at 9 Birch Grove."

  Bernie is a great host and made us feel very welcome right from the start, he was always available if we needed anything or had any issues which we didn't as all was spot on! Everything was very clean and functioned as it should, as others have mentioned the bed is extremely comfy and the shower is fantastic. Hopefully we will be back again next year sometime, thanks again Bernie. Gill and Peter.

• "We had a lovely relaxing holiday, Lovely spacious, clean, and well equipped caravan."

• "This is our 2nd stay at Birch Grove, we were so impressed the last time that we just had to come back, once again we weren't disappointed."

  We were met by the wonderful Bernie who made us very welcome, even providing a much appreciated welcome pack so we could have a cuppa as soon as we arrived. The accommodation was spotless, cosy and comfortable, a real home from home, with everything we needed for our 2 week stay. Even on the rainy days were enjoyable as books, films and games provided. A lovely, quiet, very well maintained site, perfect for relaxing. Thank you once again Bernie for making us so very welcome, hope to see you again soon.

• "Firstly sorry for the late review as my holiday was from 13/7/23-17/7/23 it was a last minute which I arranged with a lovely lady called Katie who was very helpful and friendly when booking."

  Bernie was amazing with meeting me in the early hours to give me the keys I found him so very helpful told me everything I needed to know. My accommodation was lovely very pet friendly with water bowl treats etc which my dog loved Bed really comfortable shower was amazing kitchen had everything you needed including milk biscuits

• "We where met on arrival by the owner (Bernie) who took time to show us all around the property and inform us how everything worked including the much appreciated air conditioning unit as the temperature reached 28 degrees and above every day."

  The property was well equipped for the two of us and our dog who really enjoyed the park opposite the site. We also found the neighbours very friendly informing us of interesting places to visit. • "Our resent stay was beyond our expectations."

  The caravan was very spacious and had everything you could ever need, plus it has an amazing shower. Bernie (the owner) was very friendly and gave us lots of local information, like the wonderful park over the road where we could walk our dog. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this lovely accommodation.

• "Very good lodge that has everything you need for your holiday."

  Situated 3 miles from Clacton there are plenty of places to eat,and there is a massive retail park at Colchester where you can eat your way around the world! We were out and about most days, I would recommend a trip to Tiptree Jam Factory for afternoon tea and the factory shop,it was excellent. It's busy at the weekend so try during the week.

• "We had a very comfortable, cosy week at 9 Birch Grove."

  The caravan was warm and inviting, with everything we needed for our stay. We were met on arrival by the owner, Bernie, who showed us around, where everything was and how the appliances worked. He was on hand if needed, but not at all intrusive. The surrounding areas are lovely, beautiful scenery and plenty of amenities within a 10 mins drive. Would definitely stay again.

• "Bathroom shower leaks so badly it flows onto the bathroom floor and soaks up bedroom wall, kitchen tap leaks leaving small puddles on the work surface."

  No instructions for any appliances and none for the TV, the grill didn't work. Although washing machine available and washing pole, no hole to put it in we were told to ask a neighbour could we borrow their line. No tin opener! Blinds really dusty, inside the ovens dirty, cupboard doors dirty and floors not washed. It was a disapointment. Good point it was warm and comfortable.

  Thank you for your feedback and I would like to comment on each point you made. 1. The shower has never leaked for any of our other guests however I will have this checked immediately. 2. I will also check the kitchen tap and thank you for bringing this to my attention. 3. I will put in place a document to help guests use the TV and washing machine. 4. I have checked the grill and it works perfectly. As you recall I attended to show you how to work the gas cooker rings as you never used one before. 5. I am unsure why you mentioned the neighbour in relation to washing line . This facility is available. 6. A tin opener is available as is all kitchen appliances. 7. The blinds are cleaned after every guest leaves however due to the dry weather dust has been extremely bad on the park this year. 8. The oven is continually cleaned and left in pristine condition for the next guests. 9. The cupboard doors are cleaned after every guest leaves. 10. The floors are cleaned after every guest leaves. I am sorry you were disappointed with your stay. As this is the first negative review I have received I will be dealing with your comments as soon as possible. I always inform guests to call me if they have any problems. It would have been nice to mention some of the good points. You where left treats for your dog. Tea, coffee and fresh milk in the fridge. Orange juice, bottles of water and biscuits also left in the fridge to name but a few. Again thank you for your stay. Bernie Property Owner
