  • "Very nice caravan and very clean and they had thought of every thing."

However there is no path outside the caravan park and you are basically walking on the road. We had to turn back as not safe walking a dog as cars are speeding at 60+mph on the road. We turned back and got into our car to go to Buckesham Village as no paths. Had to walk the dog around the park so you need to drive out to places to walk your dog for long walks.

Thank you for the lovely message you left in our visitors book inside the Lodge. We are glad you enjoyed staying in Number 36 and were happy with everything in it. We are sorry if you found the approach road to the Park difficult for walking Daisy but hope that you enjoyed walking on the Park which is well away from that road, and also that you found lots of places locally to visit and enjoy. May we just correct one thing in your review - Bucklesham Park is a holiday lodge park, there are no caravans on this site. Thanks again for your review and we hope to see you again soon, Best wishes Jennie and Steve Property Owner

  • "This property is set in the most loveliest holiday park where it is so clean and well kept, so quite and restful surroundings with the most friendliest people you could ever meet."

Lodge 36 was the perfect place to stay, very clean and comfortable with everything that you needed. Had some very thoughtful treats left for us and our dog, such a lovely touch. Also very near by on the site we came across a lovely run cafe called CUPS AND CAKES where you get really good food served with a lovely smile from the two lovely ladies. We had such a wonderful time that we have already booked for September 2024.Really looking forward to going back

  • "Superb well equipped spotlessly clean lodge, very well maintained gated community with friendly residents who are so welcoming."

As a couple we are both Ipswich born & bred, we moved to Paignton 36 years ago and was looking for somewhere to use as a base to explore all our old haunts, We Would recommend Bucklesham Park 100% for anyone looking to do the same as us & explore Suffolk, or for anyone who is looking for a great place to live, it was so nice to come back to at the end of the day. Worth every penny… Brilliant. Mike & Elly Torbay on the English Riviera.

About the location

MARTLESHAM VILLAGE

Woodbridge 3 miles; Felixstowe 10 miles

This old village, which dates back to Roman times, sits on the fringes of the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just 10 miles from the coast. It is often referred to as 'Old Martlesham' to distinguish it from the newer neighbouring village of Martlesham Heath which is just 40 years old. Martlesham Village is a fantastic base for a cottage holiday, it provides you with the essential amenities in a Post Office Store, two pubs, one of which dates back to the 1500's, and a fish and chip shop. The village is also home to Martlesham Creek, popular for sailing as it flows into the River Deben and down to the coast. If you would rather drive to the coast, visit Felixstowe just 10 miles away, it boasts a wide range of amenities along with a stunning beach with an amusement arcade. Slightly closer is Suffolk's county town, Ipswich, it proves itself to be a great day out with its shopping centre, cinema and series of parks.
