This small market town in Suffolk boasts pretty half-timbered houses, characterful sloping roofs and is home to the famous painter Thomas Gainsborough. Take a stroll along Gainsborough Street and down a little alleyway where you will find Gainsborough House, his birthplace and where he resided for many of his younger years.
