"We absolutely adored our time here."
The cottage was in an idyllic spot and very convenient. Sure, the A82 does have some road noise during the day, but nothing unbearable or even mood-ruining. And at night, it becomes quite peaceful.
The only con is navigating the steep drive if the neighbour is parked. It can be a bit tight for larger cars! Totally navigable though, and hardly even worth noting.
Overall a truly fantastic, well-appointed place that made for a perfect week getaway.

"Very noisy."
Non stop traffic 24/7 due to close proximity to main road, could be heard all over property. Needs better double glazing. Bed really uncomfortable. Unpleasant smell coming from en-suite, had to go and purchase air-freshner. Well equipped kitchen and a lovely view from lounge window.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that this caused you concern, but this has not been mentioned in other feedback. The property does have double glazing and the property isn’t affected by noise unless the windows are open. Property Owner

"The cottage has spectacular views, but it was dark and dated and the beds really need to be replaced."
One of the first things we did was clean the window, the window was very grubby when we arrived and this spoiled the view.
Not easy to find and the shared driveway was not good as you had to drive right past the neighbouring window to park the car.
Steps to the one entrance to the property difficult if you are older and grab rails would improve this.

"Morvich Cottage has the most stunning views and a 20 min walk into Fort William for dinner."
The compact bungalow is well equipped but not luxurious! We found the very small double bed particularly uncomfortable with low quality bedding. Could do with an outside table / chairs.

"A great spot straight off the A82."
Easy access & in a superb location for both the town of Fort William & seeing the wildlife by the loch. A few yards walk across the road to the pebble beach. The lovely bungalow is warm, cosy & had everything we needed for a great stay. Its a pity we only had a week. Will definitely stay again.

"The cottage is very well equipped and was immaculate."
So comfortable to come back to, a home from home. Very well placed for an evening walk into town where there are many restaurants. Easy access to main routes made days out easy to plan.

"Lovely cottage clean and tidy."
Beds very comfortable. Close to shops and main attractions.
Unfortunately their was a mix up with bedding which was no fault to the owners but to the cleaners you can't follow simple instructions or read English. Spoke to the owner who was very apologetic.
Followed the guidelines on the sykes cottages covid-19 page about taking your own bedding, pillow cases and towels.

"Morvich cottage ideal for a steady stroll into fortwilliam."
Good choice of restraunts. The cottage looks a little tired on the outside, could do with a little paint, gutters leaking and roof full of moss. Interior was perfect. Mr Huggins

"It's a nice, spacious cottage, with fantastic views, not too far to walk into Fort William."
The owner was helpful trying to sort out some issues on our arrival.
There was no loo paper provided in the en suite and just enough for 1 use in the main bathroom, so this needs to be improved as it caused some inconvenience. Towels were a little late to arrive too.
We could have used some bin liners, laundry detergent and more washing up liquid. It's not practical to buy whole packs for 1 week.
We found it quite hot and stuffy at night. We couldn't open the bedroom windows because of the road noise keeping us awake, even with ear plugs in. Perhaps some thinner summer duvets would help? The bed was comfortable, if a little small, we're used to king size.
The guttering needs some maintenance, when it rained there were quite a few leaks. This wasn't a problem for us, just thought the owner would want to know this.

I did not receive the promised refund and am very much disgusted with your company. We are presently making our reservations for October and rest assured that Sykes Cottages will not be considered for our stay. This is poor business practice as I come to Scotland every other year. Brooke Blair

"Morvich Cottage is a well equipped cottage with lovely views across Loch Linnhe."
It's a pleasant walk into town either along the shore or on the footpath. The owners had even provided a set of binoculars for spotting the wildlife. A pair of dolphins were spotted several times playing as they came up the loch.
