The property

Occupying a desirable elevated position above the township road for Achiltibuie, this charming whitewashed stone cottage provides stunning sea views across to the Summer Isles and beyond.

The cottage is deceptively spacious and offers a great space for a large family or group or friends who want to enjoy the unspoilt beauty of the West Highlands together.

With the accommodation spread over two floors there are two bedrooms on the ground floor and two on the upper floor, both complemented by bathrooms.

The farmhouse-style kitchen with its central dining table is a sociable space for preparing and enjoying meals together and the cosy snug to the rear of the kitchen with its woodburner it a great place for a quiet read or snooze!

The sitting room boasts a welcoming open fire and is ideal for relaxation at the end of an active day.

As you would expect there are great views from the windows at the front of the cottage and the sunsets can be nothing short of spectacular!

With good local services everything you need is close to hand but of course the wider area must be explored!

Ullapool is a vibrant town with good shops and dining out opportunities and also a 9-hole golf course.

It is from here that you could take a ferry across The Minch to the Western Isles, an unforgettable trip.

This is a great area for touring and the North 500 road route can be followed up to Sutherland and around the top of Scotland where quiet roads, wonderful remoteness and pretty little villages can be explored.

This is an amazing holiday venue and this pretty hillside cottage will certainly be a great home from home.

About the location

Ullapool 10 miles.

Achiltibuie is a friendly crofting community on the north west coast of the Highlands some 10 miles northwest of Ullapool, the ferry terminal for the Western Isles. The village is a very special place with easy access to clean sea and beaches and surrounded by unspoilt natural scenery. There are two routes into the village along single track twisting roads but once you arrive you will agree that it was a very worthwhile journey. The village follows the coastline and is spread out over two miles. There are good local services with a Post Office, shop and hotel with welcoming bar, a great place to meet the locals and other holidaymakers. From the village there are stunning panoramic views and in all weathers the view holds its own beauty. Visitors love the quieter, calmer pace of life here where life has remained relatively unchanged for 30 years.
