Loved the location and the peace and quiet. Will book to go back again, thanks for everything! Reviewed by StuartSep 2019 "This is a lovely cottage in a secluded location, although easy to access." The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and roomy. Local facilities include some first rate cafes, restaurants and coffee shops. Some others are simply awful: details on application. The Wee Croft in Duirinish is outstanding as is Beth's in Balmacara Square. The village store in nearby Plockton is also a must. Skye is close by - if a little over crowded in places. The scenery is breathtaking. Reviewed by JamesAug 2019 "Property was fantastically located - in a quiet hamlet but easy access to some breathtaking sights." House was very comfortable and lots of space for our family. Kitchen was very well stocked. If only the weather had been as perfect as our accommodation! Reviewed by AnnAug 2019 "Lovely cottage in quiet location." Perfect for our needs. Great assess to Skye and many hills! Reviewed by MoragJun 2019 "The cottage was not very clean (dirty dishes, sticky drawer handles and cutlery, mucky dishes and glasses)." There were spiders and other bugs in the en-suite, the bed in the other double room was very hard/uncomfortable, there were no ice-making facilities, the toaster was broken, the bathroom door didn't close properly (or lock), no washing up liquid, hardly any toilet paper. However, reasonably priced and close to Plockton. Thank you for your review, however If you felt the cottage was not as clean as you would have expected it would have been very helpful if you had contacted us immediately so we could have inspected the problem and resolved the issue. Although our cleaner who we have had for 12 years is first class and cleanliness is never an issue. The house was in use the week before and had been cleaned and no previous complaints. The cleaner left at 2.30pm and you arrived after 4pm so any spiders or bugs came in during that period. it is a house in the country and this does happen. There was no evidence prior to your stay that there was a problem and nothing since Just country living. Beds are a subjective issue with guests. People have very varying requirements but they are all top quality mattresses it is unfortunate they were not to your liking. The lock on the bathroom door was broken and has been repaired since you highlighted this in your review. There is a freezer in the house and there are ice trays which I can only presume you couldn't have found. The toaster seems to be working but again it would have been useful if you had contacted us. The washing up liquid was an oversight on the cleaners part but there is a dishwasher and dishwasher tablets so can't understand why there were dirty dishes. Toilet rolls we leave what is on the roll and a spare in every bathroom this is common practice. We do feel our house represents good value and most your issues would have been easily resolved if you had contacted us. Great pity when people focus on negatives and the positives are 7 words at the end. Thanks for taking the the time to write it though. My only quibble was a hard bed, but if thats the only thing I can find fault with, then it must be good. Reviewed by DanMar 2019 "Had to run the taps for a bit to get the hot water through and in our opinion we would of liked the ensuite to of been attached to the front double bedroom." The cottage is so well equipped with everything you'll ever need from home. All you need to bring is yourself, some clothes and some food and drinks. So warm and cosy. The location is brilliant for peace, quiet, solitude, wildlife and travel. It's also a dog walkers heaven with so much area to explore, literally right on the doorstep. Reviewed by FredMar 2019 "The cottage was very comfortable, well equipped and warm." Open plan layout was just right for us and our four children to have plenty of space. Plockton is often described as the Jewel in the Highlands due to its charming seaside location, pretty cottages and surprising tropical atmosphere, caused by the mild climate, with palm trees thriving along the seafront. The sheltered waters of Plockton attract small yachts throughout the year and the village caters well for its visitors with a selection of quality cafes and pubs all looking out across the bay. There’s also a small general store for convenience alongside the few gift and craft shops, whilst the active village community host events and art exhibitions throughout the year.
